I bought this sweater last year and it pilled so much I hesitate wearing it except for very casual. I’ve shopped L.L.Bean for years and was surprised at the low quality of the sweater

Disappointing
This sweater fabric began to pill on the sides and under arms after just a couple hours of wear. At the end of the day it looks terrible. Almost embarrassed to wear. Not worth the $129.

I love wearing this sweater. The material is sumptuous against my skin, so soft and cozy. I wear it alone or as a top layer. It keeps me warm and looks beautiful. This is quality cashmere. Size medium was ideal for my 5’4” 135# body.

Nice cut, color, quality!
This is a great quality cashmere sweater. I like the cut, color and warmth. It is loser at the bottom and cut to flatter, but not hug your curves. I got the dark green and it's a very pretty cool green that goes with jeans, black pants, skirts, etc. Happy with this purchase!

The cashmere pills after one wearing
I have two of these sweaters from about 8 years ago and they still look great. Little to no pilling. I bought 3 of the new ones and the red one started pilling the day I wore it. It looks old and worn out after one wearing. I don't know about the other colors, as I haven't worn them yet, but am concerned. The old, high-quality sweaters I purchased say made in China, and this new, cheaper version says made in Cambodia.

It fit before I washed it but now I can’t wear it. I washed it the way I do all my other cashmere sweaters by hand in cold water. This sweater completely changed shape. It is now too small for me to wear. Very disappointing.

Tis the Season for Cashmere
Soft, classic style, but runs small. Size up to an XL if you are any bigger than a 36D or 38B. The green color is beautiful for the holidays, but the fabric is thin, so also size up if you want to layer. We'll find out down the road if if pills after wearing.
