Classic, excellent quality
I have one of these peacoats from a few years ago, and I am about to buy a second in a different color. Very well made, soft thick lambswool, classic style. I notice some reviewers are complaining "no pockets". This year's coat looks identical to the one I have, and it has pockets that were sewn shut when I received it. You just need to carefully snip the thread that holds the pocket closed with a seam ripper or the pointed tip of a scissors, and the thread pulls out. Don't miss out on this nice coat for fear of it having no pockets!

Beautiful design, but one major flaw
I bought this coat for my daughter. She adores the double breasted design and the anchor details on the buttons
We sent it back only because of the lack of pockets. They were aesthetic, but not functional.

Great traditional peacoat
This pea jacket replaces one i loved years ago that I purchased at an army-navy surplus store. Warm wool, traditional navy buttons, collar i can stand up against the cold, and the pockets for my hands. I love this and the fit is perfect.

Nice coat but...
I just received my coat in the mail and while it's a great coat, those faux pockets nearly infuriated me. Who doesn't give a consumer pockets? This is the only feature I am not happy about. Seriously, L.L. Bean, women like pockets, too. Maybe make that happen.

beautiful jacket! the color is a soft light grey and is classy and gorgeous! the wool is so soft and smooth. placement of the pockets is perfect and i love the anchor design on the buttons. fits well and is warm. good length......this is just the perfect coat! i especially love the light grey.

Nice classic pea coat
I tried a regular size 8, my usual size, and really tried to talk myself into keeping it because I liked it so much, but I returned it for a petite size 8 as the sleeves were too long and it’s a relaxed fit so it was a little too big. Otherwise I loved the material, style and details. A classic navy pea coat. Hope to find a size I like.
