Tough Grader Marks This One A+
I expect a lot out of 3-in-1 parkas. Bought my first one in the mid-80's, the next one in the mid 2000's--each from providers other than LLB. I live in the Pacific Northwest and the style befits the often kinda cold, drippy weather of mid-Fall to Spring. So, I did my research and found this winner from a favorite provider of recent years. I like the "rugged" nature of the shell fabric (that sheds precipitation well,) the design of the hood, which works equally well with or without a cap, the attention-to-detail of the smaller mesh pockets inside the large, zippered chest pockets, and the beefy zippers (although I think they should be metal, not plastic.) Fit is great, and if I hold on to the sleeve of the insulated inner jacket, it's not difficult to pull off even with gloves, as some other customers have complained. I fully expect this winner to last the 20 years of my other jackets.

Great Coat. Highly Recommend. Would purchase again
Finally had cold enough temps (low thirties) to get a chance to wear this Parka and it performed exceptionally. A definite must have for rainy, windy, and cold days. Liner kept me warm with only light layers. Heavy layers do not work well with liner, but if you like heavy layers simply remove the liner. My nephew saw it on me and said it is a "kick A-- coat" but the guy wearing it needs some work.

Bell Bottom Parka
Really nice parka, like the length that keeps your bottom dry in the wind driven rain. Ordered a large, the shoulders fit really well but the bottom is quite larger. Feels like the bottom should be on a 2XL, that’s why I only gave it 4 stars. Other than that, it’s a fantastic coat.

Falcon's View
I've owned a number of coats from LL Bean and this is among the best. The 3-in-1 flexibility is excellent with all 3 configurations being comfortable and effective.
My one negative comment is it has fewer pockets than I would prefer. In particular it is lacking an inner pocket in any configuration.

Warm but not easy to button
I like the warmth; The hood is good at covering without blocking vision. I don't like that the buttons are small (as another review said) and not easy to button; almost impossible with gloves on. The zipper is also good and I like that it can zip up open from the bottom as well, but it also takes some time to connect. So no easy closure with the buttons or zipper.
