A new twist on a nautical tradition, our Irish fisherman cardigan sweater features a flattering shorter length and a more fitted style. In soft cotton yarns, with a beautiful open-stitch fair isle pattern.
The original fisherman's sweaters of the Aran Islands were knit with designs that told stories of a rich coastal heritage. From good luck to a plentiful catch, special sentiments were represented in each and every stitch. Coveted fisherman sweaters for years.
Startled at how pretty it is- has a crocheted design in a rustic heavy weight yarn. I chose the oatmeal with flowers which would be gorgeous with everything, but am exchanging for the royal red as I think the boot design might be more sporty and rugged. Will see when it arrives. Ordered an x small for my 119 lb. 4’11” frame. Desired a closer fit, it’s stretchy.

It is absolutely awesome! Fits perfect. For reference I am 5'5" and about 106 lbs and ordered and XS. It's very cute for my age, 47, and my husband loves it. LOL, first flattering sweater in a long time, per my husband. Will be ordering another one in the near future.
