Quality and design have greatly deteriorated
I have been buying these walking shoes for years, in red, which is no longer offered. They were made in Myanmar, and were very nicely made, comfortable, and long lasting. I recently ordered another pair in frost gray, made in Vietnam. They are very uncomfortable. The back of the shoe, when placed next to my old pair, is a good half inch higher, which makes it dig into my tendon very painfully. I can’t wear these shoes. The color selection is dismal, you have ruined a perfectly good walking shoe. They are not the quality LL Bean was known for. Back they go!

These shoes were cute and a good price. However, the collar of the shoe came up too high on my ankles. Also, the shoes were not very well cushioned. I was disappointed and sent them back.

Great Walkers
This is my third pair of this style of Bean walking sneakers. Love that I can buy 'wide' 8's. The shoes lasts for about a year of daily walking. Good arch support that doesn't breakdown with wear. So worth the cost.

2nd pair of these!
Excellent walking sneakers that held up for 5+ years. Now they’re my gardening pair, as I bought a new pair this summer. My feet are slightly wide, but the regular is great—didn’t need to buy the wide width. Very pleased with this purchase.
