Rated 5 out of 5 by JewelBeach12 from Wonderful Quality & Flattering Design I absolutely love cowl neck tops, and these are of a high quality Pima cotton that also drapes nicely! The cowl doesn’t hang low and can be gently shaped into whatever way you like it to hang. I have these in 4 colors!! They wash and wear so well....a steal for the price! I’m 5’7 133 pounds with broad shoulders and a small chest. I got the XS which measures about 17.2 armpit to pit. I will buy many more if llbean provides new colors for this Fall. Ladies if you live in colder areas, consider buying one size larger to wear at night as a pajama top. The Pima is so silky on the skin & the cowl gives the neck warmth. It’s worked great for me!

Rated 3 out of 5 by JennyBr from OK, not like previous version I bought several of these shirts because I used to have the version called "tunic", and absolutely loved them. These are the same length, but that's where the similarity ends. Unfortunately, I've gained a little weight, so I decided to order the next size, since I missed being able to wear the other ones. These do not lay nearly as nice, have a much narrower bottom hem, no side slit, and the cowl does not lay as nicely. Material still excellent, and I'm keeping them because I still like them under vests and cardigans. Just not as thrilled with these as I was with the old version. Finding this with a lot of LL Bean things, not buying here nearly as much as I used too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dontneedbutstillshop from Great fit for me I love the cowl neck on this shirt because it’s not only more comfortable than a turtleneck for me, it’s also flattering and really looks great if you are wearing a sweater or vest over it. I have it in many colors The fit is perfect: not tight but not baggy. It shrinks a tiny bit in a hot dryer, but that hasn’t effected the fit for me. The ones I purchased several years ago continue to look like new I only wish this top would come in shades of gray. Gray is a becoming color for gray-haired women like me, and let’s face it, most of the young people I know dont wear this neck style

Rated 5 out of 5 by FargoMom from Simple Perfection I now have two of these cowlnecks and love them. They drape beautifully and layer under a vest so nicely. The neck is the perfect amount of fabric; not too tight, not too much excess fabric. They wash easily and last. You can dress them up or down with jewelry, pants, and shoes. They are so versatile! I ordered this in my usual Bean size (M).

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ferny from A favorite top These cowl tunics in supima knits are a favorite with me and I have several of them now. I like the warmth on the back of my neck while having just a bit of exposure on the front of my neck, but extra fabric available to draw across my neck if I get chilled. The silkiness of the supima cotton is wonderful. My ongoing complaint with Bean knit longsleeve tops is how the longsleeves shrink several inches with washing and drying even at lowest gentlest heat. The sleeves always end up looking and feeling short. The body would be nicer cut just a bit longer also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by vtkitties from Nice redesign of great shirt I have two pima cowl neck shirts from previous years, and I like the redesigned features this year. I got the light ocean. This year the cowl neck has a different hem stitched around the neck that gives it a little more support so the cowl keeps its shape better. The bottom hem is a regular hem now, not the wider tunic hem with the split sides, so it looks better tucked in--not so much fabric bunched up. It does run a little smaller than before, overall and especially in the sleeves. This year's small fits well but I like a roomier fit to layer underneath, so I am going to order the next one in a regular Medium.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Xmasshopper from Cowlneck Pima Cotton Long sleeve tee shirt I've bought 4 of these in a small, large and extra large size. I'm 170lbs and 5'7" tall and large is form fitting and extra large a looser fit. My friend is about my size but 5'5" tall and the large fits her better. I bought one for another friend 5'5" tall and very slim guessing 115lbs and the small fits her perfectly. My friends and I loved the soft feel, good quality cotton and the Ocean Blue and Royal Plum colors were a hit. I have other sleeveless with cardigan sets in this fabric and they wash and wear very well with minimal shrinkage after drying.

Rated 2 out of 5 by jeri from Fine shirt, NOT IN WHITE. This would be a five-star review were it not for the fact you can see: L.L.Bean, sizing & material information stamped on the inside through the fabric at the neck. I purchased this shirt in white. I own two, purchased years ago, no problem. I don't care if your a size 2 petit or 4X no one wants a ware label showing through their clothes. This is why we cut the tags off clothing. If you intend to wear something over a cowlneck this shouldn't be a problem. For ware around the house, up to you. But I wouldn't wear this shirt out of the house.
