Rated 4 out of 5 by from A cool addition Stylish jacket! I purchased the kelp green and navy version. 70’s vintage vibes. The jacket is a bit thinner than I anticipated. I believe it will work well as a layering piece. I actually find the sweater fleece jackets to be warmer. That said, the jacket is roomy enough to wear one underneath. It also has a quality zipper. My only complaint is the arms. The fit could be better. I got the petite version after reading about this complaint from others. The arms are a tad bit too wide and long. Makes me seem more petite than I really am.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from looks great, needs a couple updates I love the colors and style and it seems to be that perfect transition weight for late-winter/early spring and fall in the north Midwest when days go from 50s to 20s. Personally, it's far from perfect, though. Most notable is no interior pocket and the exterior pockets are secured by a single snap (that seems at risk of quickly tearing from the coat shell). If there was at least one interior packet and the exterior pockets had zippers, the coat would be 5 stars. Seems to run true to size in shoulders, but large in the waist/around the middle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super cute retro style and colors Super cute retro style and colors (cream with the orange/blue/yellow accents) and great weight for spring or early fall. As with a lot of Bean outerwear, this runs one size large. I'm generally a size small (4-6/lean/small busted/muscular) and take an XS in this. One star off for the prominent chest logo patch -- I really wish bean would stop it with this -- it's so huge and colorful that it is distracting (at least place it at the bottom right hem or something rather tan the chest). but I love the jacket so i'm dealing with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it! I moved back north to Pennsylvania a couple of years ago, and I realized that one jacket wasn't going to cut it in the winter. This is good when it's too warm for a heavy jacket and too cool for a light jacket. It's also great for layering--I've worn this over a merino undershirt and a t-shirt and been warm on fairly cold days. There's definitely a seventies ski jacket vibe to this, but I've gotten a lot of compliments on it. Another winner from LL Bean!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Muted Colors, lightweight but warm Got this in Natural/marine blue Size Large. Fits perfectly, and will be great for southern winters. Ease of movement with enough room to wear long sleeves underneath and thin enough to layer a bulkier coat over it. I'm a little disappointed with the colors of the stripes. Blue isn't as bright as pictured and the middle color is a rust color rather than bright red. Overall I like it! Tried to upload a photo but the site won't let me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket Very comfy and warm enough for the 40s or high 30s. I can layer under this easily even though I’m a DD on top.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Flattering but arm tight I was so excited to see a coat that was both hip and plus size! It is very flattering except that the arms are too tight on the 2x. I bought a size up 3x and it’s too big! Super bummed, because I love it! I would prefer zip pockets but that wasn’t a deal breaker...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs zippered pockets This is a great jacket, however I really don’t understand LL BEAN not putting zippers on the pockets, or at least an inside zipper pocket for a cellphone or small wallet. I’ll keep it, but I may find a seamstress to add zippers.
