    Women's L.L.Bean Snow Boots, Lace-Up is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 312.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from New to snowy weather First time living in a place that regularly has snow on the ground, I knew I would need some snow boots and came here. I picked one of the warmest rated ones, and these are really warm. I like that they lace up so they can be snug on my feet. The sizing is good, I'm usually an 8.5 or 9 and I got the 9 and they fit great. I've worn them with cotton or wool socks and I'm warm. They aren't the cutest snow boots ever, but I bought them to keep my feet warm and dry because nothing is worse than cold wet socks. My only problem that isn't too big a deal is the liner will sometimes come out when I'm pulling my foot out. Overall great snow boots!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't fit as described I love the look of these boots, but found that the sizing recommendations were not very accurate. I usually wear a 10, but I could not even get my foot into the boot (with lo-cut sneaker socks). Customer service sent me an 11 (great customer service!!), and they fit perfectly...with bare feet. I was very surprised that these were so very small that I could not even put on a wool sock with either size. If the sizing ever changes on these, I would be happy to try them again. I ordered the bison Bean Boot at the same time, in a 10, and they fit me as expected, and the same as the 30-year old pair of size 10 Bean Boots fit me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy Well-Made Boot If you are looking for a cute and dainty winter boot, this is not the boot for you. If you want a well made sturdy boot that you wont worry about ruining after one storm then you are in the right place. These are large, they are solid, there is not a whole lot of flexibility in them (i.e. not great for driving) BUT they are incredibly well-made. I'm shocked these don't have a higher rating! They keep your feet warm and they are really cute! I'm going on two years with mine and by far my favorite winter boots I've ever owned; so if you are looking for a solid boot to get you through the worst of a Maine winter, you will not be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots! These are great clomping-around-in-the-snow boots! Warm, comfy, dry. And so cute in the pewter color. The fit reminds me a bit of the old "moon boots". Very roomy and large inside - these are not dainty boots. I specifically set up an account to write this review to warn buyers to give them a chance... when I first put them on, they were VERY stiff and I was actually pitched forward, knees bent in them, as if I was wearing front buckle ski boots. After a few days of wearing them, the leather has softened greatly and they have broken in perfectly. So don't distress - just give them a little time to break in.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cute but just didn’t fit I ordered these in Royal Plum in both 8 and 9 so I could try to get the best fit. I love the color and they’re well constructed. I wear an 8 in the Wicked Good Shearling Boots and they fit perfect. The 8s here felt better for length but they were so tight on the top of my foot. Another reviewer mentioned them feeling like a cast and that is pretty accurate. The 9s were better for the top of my foot, but they were just too big (even with thick socks). Despite feeling like a cast they were loose, clunky and awkward. I really hoped these would be perfect because I love the color, but unfortunately both pairs will be going back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Snow Boots! These are fantastic snow boots. They are NOT fashion boots and so will not fit/feel the same as fashion boots. They are snow boots that happen to be cute. For those who commented that these seem like firefighter boots, I think you must not know how snow boots are supposed to fit? I don't know. I thought these fit perfectly. I live in northern MA and these will get a lot of use. They are super comfortable and really warm. I could (and have) walk all day in these. The quality is what I expect from LL Bean, great. The fit is exactly what I expected. I wear I size 6 & I feel these fit true to size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Maine boots Overall these boots are perfect for where I live. If i just set the laces a little loose I can slip them on and off fairly easily. The tab on the back aids in pulling them back on. If I'm going to be treading in deeper snow I just lace them tighter. They're a little clunky to drive in, and I wouldn't recommend them for anything more than a jaunt to the store and back, but once you adjust to their bulk you can make it work (I drive a 5 speed). They are very warm and I've not once had cold feet in them, even after dropping a little snow inside accidentally. I snowblowed the driveway after the last storm in 0 degree weather for an hour and never got cold feet. Thanks!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sole is wafer thin. I tested these boots on a -20 morning during my walk into work. Right away, I noticed that I could feel every spike of my ice grips and all the hills, valleys, and rocks embedded in the compacted snow. Within 5 minutes, the cold had seeped through the sole and into the liner. Fortunately, my walk is only 15 minutes long. When I got to work, I removed the liner and noticed how thin the boot soles are in this footwear. The liner alone will not keep your feet warm if the boot sole isn't thick enough. It gets to -40 and -50 here sometimes. I'm not risking frostbite so these are getting returned.
