        Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Perfect Jacket I purchased this jacket because I wanted a shorter jacket to wear running errands verses wearing my longer L.L. Bean jacket. I am 57 years old, 4’10”, 120 pounds. I purchased the petite medium in store and it fit perfectly, with just enough room for a heavy sweater, which is not needed because this jacket is warm and keeps out the wind. It’s perfect for the cold weather of upstate New York. The only thing I wish it had was a draw string on the hood and an inside pocket for my phone, money or I.D. I didn’t have any issues with the fleece lining pulling my sleeves up as the other reviewer had. Otherwise, another great jacket. I am not disappointed.

        Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost a winner Gave it three stars because of the sleeves. I purchased the jacket because of the Bean reputation, quality of their products and good customer service. So even though I had read about the sleeve complaints, dove in anyway. And yes, they are a pain. I'm very cold natured, and layer...a lot, however, the lining does catch and does come out at the wrists even with just one long sleeved shirt. I have an 850 down fill jacket, but this one works ok (with layering) in 25°+ temps., which we've experienced so far this year. Not too bulky. I'm around 5'6" and about 115 lbs and bought the medium. Also, have long arms; sleeves are fine. Tried the large but just too huge. My suggestion, fix the lining and you'll have a real winner.

        Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice down jacket - I am keeping It hasn't been cold enough here in CA for me to wear yet, but I believe I'll be ready if I ever go into the mountains & if we get an occasional cold snap. Would be good for an evening at an outdoor event also. Fit is slightly close but comfortable. Sleeves are a good length & the hood doesn't go over my eyes. Looks like a quality made product. I like that the down is water resistant as well as the shell. I don't think I look like the Michelin tire person and I bought a 2X. I'm 5'4" and weigh around 170 lbs.

        Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good basic winter jacket Fit was great. Very comfortable. It hasn't been cold enough to wear yet but soon enough it will be. It would be nice if there was an inside the coat pocket, there is just the two hand pockets on the outside. Also I'm not sure about the flannel lining...it'll be very cozy (I like that!) but maybe a little harder to get in and out of. These are small issues, overall I love the jacket and will get a lot of use out of it. Price was great!

        Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good basic winter coat It's a basic winter jacket. It fits great and it's warm. I like that it has a hood. Downside is that there are no internal pockets, just the two zip pockets on the outside, and the fleece lining, although cozy, makes it a little slower getting on and off. Having said this, I do love the coat, the price was great, and I will enjoy wearing it this winter.

        Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and cozy jacket This is a beautiful, warm, stylish down jacket. I purchased the small initially and because the shoulders felt snug, I returned it for a medium. The body of the jacket is very roomy but there are toggles at the hip to cinch it tight if it gets windy. Its less bulky than other down jackets I've owned but very warm so far. It's lined with fleece and the arms are fairly narrow so it catches a bit if i wear it with a sweater. Not a huge deal though. I love the black with maroon lining and zippers.

        Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice jacket, very pleased Love this jacket, very light and warm. Roomy through the body and nice for layering, but snug in the arms. Part of the lining includes a fleece-like material, which makes it challenging to put on when wearing a sweater or fleece, generating static. Length fits over the hips which is great, but I wish the zipper were two way to relieve pressure on the zipper when sitting in the car. Overall, would recommend and buy again.

        Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, warm with cozy lining I tried on a medium and large with a sweater underneath. The medium was snug across the chest. I went with the large and have room for a sweater or fleece layer. It's still slightly fitted and the length covers my rear. The drawstring at the bottom is great! I love this jacket and expect it will keep me warm all winter!
