Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Flattering, Good Coverage I have two of these tops, in my usual swim suit size 12, to go with the skirted bottom. I teach, & occasionally take groups of students on outings to a natural hotspring. In this suit, I can feel very well dressed while out with my students. The suit provides very good coverage, in a very flattering style. My only concern is that I find the bra cups & elastic under them placed a bit too high, & I don't consider myself full-busted. The bra cups also seem a tad small to me. Other than this, I absolutely Love this suit, & have never felt more presentable or better dressed in a swim suit. Coverage is great, & the suit is snazzy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it! The BeanSport tank-style tankini top is just what I was looking for, great for water sports, and times when a more modest tankini is needed. I was very pleased with the new cobalt Medallion Print, as well as finding that my usual size 10 has not changed in fit, as some other tankini tops have. While I typically prefer cami-straps, this top is good for the other times, and even nice enough to wear as a vacation tank top! I have not had the opportunity to try it out in the water yet, but it seems about the same as the previous style. Thanks LLBean for keeping something the same, and more choice of prints would be appreciated!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Boxy and Needs Adustible Straps I'm tall and slender and require a long torso suit. The smallest tall size in the 1-piece is an 8 which according to the size chart is too big. I tried it but ordered this in a smaller size as a back up. The size 8 long 1-piece came closer to fitting than this. This top is too boxy around and not long enough from shoulder to bust. Two-pieces are not always the answer for tall people. I would suggest designing a tankini top that is much more fitted (so it doesn't float up in the water) and that has adjustible straps. The 1-pieces could be improved with adjustible straps, too. The 8 long 1-piece was actually okay around, surprisingly. The length was still the issue.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Didn't Fit Like the Old One I bought this top to replace a beloved one that had faded. Anyway, I bought the new beansport suit pieces to replace what I had, and both the tops and bottoms are way skimpier. I have lost weight since I bought my first set, particularly in the top, yet the one size down is uncomfortably tight in the wrong places. Other people might wear their suits tight like this, but I'm too modest. The skirt I had to keep at the same size as before despite my weight loss, and that is skimpier than the former as well. I think these suits are relying on less suit and more lycra. I you don't want to highlight your tummy, get a size up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great top For me, 5'3" 175 pounds, this top is great. I ordered the 18W and it fits nicely. Others wrote about how the top comes up in the water. What I like about this top is that it is looser around the midriff (compared to other tankini tops). It's snug, yet falls so that the unsightly fat rolls are not as noticeable. It's the most flattering bathing top I have ever had. It doesn't look like a suit designed for an overweight person. I was skeptical that it would work for me. It is the most flattering tankini top I have ever had. The bra inside is sturdy, but still comfortable. There are no underwires or girdle constrictions as there are in many one piece suits. The cover up of the top is good. I feel very comfortable wearing this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Coverage I received my size 14 top. I am about 150 lbs. 5.6". I almost always wear a 14 swim top. It is refreshing to find a top that is not tight in the hips. It may even be a little too big. I am 58 years old. Don't like tight swimwear. I went ahead and ordered a 12 to see if it might fit a little better. I have not received it yet. I will keep one or the other. This top gives nice coverage. I am small busted. There is a little bit too much room in the bust. I will write another post when I get my size 12. I would say this swim top runs just a little big. Still a great top. Have not got it wet yet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from suits have allot to be desired This did not look good on me. In general your suits are leaning toward the younger thin woman. Many of us need much more substantial bathing suit choices. Good solid bust coverage....perhaps even underwire busting. We also need conservative bottom choices. Everything is too high cut including what you call moderate. I think my underwear bottoms are thicker and more substantial. It's just a suggestion to offer lined...better bust support and modest leg suits with thicker lined material. You'd add alot more sales if you did. I'm a young active grandmother who wears a size 14.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great fit I love this top. This is the second one I have bought from Bean. But after 2 years, the elastic in the shelf bra disintegrates. I had to toss my previous, beautiful lime green top, and now a black one; I have ordered a new black one but knowing it won't last more than 2 years. I am careful to wash them out after each swim, never put them in a drier, etc., and yet the elastic gives out. I have swim wear from other companies which lasts for many years, yet I keep ordering this top from Bean because it is the best fitting and the best looking. It's a little longer than others so stays down, the cut and shape is great, and it's very comfortable. I will keep getting these tops in spite of the elastic problem.
