Rated 4 out of 5 by OutdoorWalker from Great Raincoat, but.... I have the previous version of this jacket and loved it. I had the bright yellow color jacket and was hoping to get that color again. However, the new version of the jacket does not come in bright yellow. So, I chose the Antique Gold color, which looks like a muted color to me, but I'll live with it. I do have one other disappointment. I loved the ability to fold and tuck the hood into the collar of the previous version. The new version does not allow me to do that. The hood is always out, so it can catch wind/rain/snow if I don't put it over my head right away. So far, I do like the way the inside lining is fused with the outer shell.

Rated 4 out of 5 by kidcatmom from Great, versatile jacket Bought this for my husband for rainy walks. We sized up so he could layer it over other things as needed. He loves it -- his only complaint is that the hood is huge and flops over his face. Part of the issue may be that he is bald, so there's nothing to keep the hood up -- plus his neck is too large to be able to zip/button all the way up, which would probably help in propping the hood up. Regardless, he does wish there were more ways to adjust the hood. All in all, it's a fantastic, quality jacket for the price though -- and it looks great. I wish you'd put the same reflective patch on the back of ALL your adult jackets that you do on your kids' coats, though, L.L. Bean!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Smiff from I got soaked Bought this in Sept 2018. Didn’t get used much but I was satisfied with the short term use like in and out of the car on a rainy day or a trip to town. Then we moved to Washington State. It’s the rainy season here now and I’m in the habit of long walks with my retriever rain or shine. I just got back this New Years Day and it has rained steady. I am wet pretty much everywhere this jacket was supposed to protect. Not perspiration wet. Rain wet. I’ll be sending this back to LL Bean and not buying any more TEK 02 clothing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by SteveMpls from Needs to be redesigned... I usually take an XL. I read the reviews and ordered the XXL. It fit ok but it is really too short for a rain coat. I am 6' 1". It was ok but anybody wearing a bulky sweater under it would feel it was too snug. It has a zipper but it has annoying & cheap Velcro tabs instead of handy snaps. Being so short, the side pockets are up high which makes it unpleasant to put ones hands in them. I am not sure why LL Bean is making outerwear so trim lately. I have jackets (with nice hefty snaps) I bought here 30 years ago that are XL and are roomy. I sent this raincoat back. I bought a parka a few years ago & had to order it in XXL. My shirts are all XL. Who is designing these things and why? Design things for tall, big Americans. Thank you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by WorldTraveler58 from Great Lightweight Shell This is a well made rain jacket. There were no flaws in workmanship at all. This jacket is made of packable, lightweight material. That being said, it is only a water resistant shell. It does not have any insulation. It is meant to be worn over a thick sweater or other layers. The sleeve length is perfect. When you stretch your arms out in front of you the sleeves do not ride up to your elbows. This was purchased for an upcoming trip to Alaska, and I think it will do extremely well. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Rated 4 out of 5 by HalFromPA from Almost Perfect While I like the jacket very much I am a little disappointed with the way the hood is to be rolled up for storage. When the jacket arrived the hood was out and since there were no instructions on how to properly store the hood the process was hit and miss. The issue is when you roll up the hood there is only a thin Velcro strap in the middle of the back of neck to go around the hood. There is nothing to hold the sides together which makes it a little uncomfortable to wear. The material is something that does not stay rolled up easily. That us the reason for 4 stars and not 5.

Rated 3 out of 5 by UKtraveler from Not waterproof I bought this rain jacket with hood for our trip to Scotland and Ireland. Rained hard on several days when I wore it most of the day. It didn't keep me totally dry after being in the rain for several hours. Some moisture soaked through the nylon material. Wasn't a bad problem but be cautious if you are looking for total waterproof, should probably select a heavier jacket.

Rated 2 out of 5 by XCCT from Wet! This is a well made, well featured rain coat. However, after wearing it 3 times in the rain it fails to keep me dry - not even close. My arms are wet, my chest is wet. Frankly, I am baffled and also disappointed. Never had an LL Bean product let me down before.
