Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why did you change the GoreTex Upland Pants? I wanted to get a second pair of the GoreTex Upland pants I bought about 10 years ago (also bought the jacket), stopped in Freeport on my way back from grouse hunting, bought these pants but will be returning them. I tried them on at home and find them extremely noisy compared to my old pants. I wanted to get a second pair for me and a pair for my wife. They remind me of my wife's Arcteryx rain gear or my Marmot ski shell...noise isn't a concern when I'm wearing those but stalking along a grouse trail I'm sure I'd find these pants annoying. Why did you change such a good product? The original GoreTex Upland pants were perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More than I hoped for. Bought these several weeks ago for rainy days in the North Woods grouse hunts. Broke them in on a rainy, warm (70 degree) day and was pleasantly surprised. After an hour in the field, not only was I dry but cool as well. While I was expecting the "steamy" feel I had with other waterproof products, the Tek pants breathed and kept me very comfortable. The pants were also still light unlike canvas pants that hold water and weigh a ton when wet. Wore them the second time on pre-hunt workout 45 degree day in heavy cover, no problem moving through brush and briers. I purchased these as my rainy day pants but may have to consider them for every day.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Comfortable, but I’ve had these hunting pants for over a year and finally used them in the rain on pheasant opener in WI. They seem to be tough enough in heavy cover. but after two hours of hunting in steady rain, they were no longer waterproof. I was totally soaked. For that reason, I would not recommend them. If I can, I’m returning them and buying something different. I’ve never had waterproof hunting pants before and was hoping to stay dry. Not so, with these pants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from High tech brush pants I have hunted four days in these pants so far. They are light and the fabric is similar to top quality raingear. They were waterproof in rain soaked brush. I wonder how long they will hold up in heavy grouse cover? The pants fit low on the hips and 31 Inch leg is a bit long for me at 6 ft tall. A standard 30 inch inseam would fit me better. Suspender buttons would solve that problem but perhaps the fabric would not support them? I plan to try clip ons. Again like others I find the pockets are skimpy and miss the second rear left pocket. The front pocket zippers can need two hands to operate; awkward when carrying a gun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great upland pants! I was skeptical when I first received these pants as the material seemed thin, but I was quickly comforted during my first walk through the north Maine woods in pursuit of grouse. All of the trees and grass were covered in layers of dew and ice and the pants shed the water beautifully while still warding off briars, downed branches, and thicket. We will see how the pants hold up to the infamous NJ briars this season, but so far these are on track to become my favorite upland pants I've worn....and Ive been hunting over 18 years. They are not as hot as some other 'waterproof' upland pants I've tried. Definitely breathable for those 60-70 degree days. Buy with confidence.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice hunting pants! These pants are comfortable and waterproof. They don't soak up any water to add weight when hunting in the wet. The fabric seems to be tough enough for northern Wisconsin grouse hunting. I hunted for three days in very wet conditions and still like the pants. They could use suspender buttons, though. The pocket fabric seems fragile and I am betting will develop holes if you carry coins and a pocket knife. The reason I did not give them a "5", though, was that the washing instructions sewn into the pants are in every language EXCEPT English. Please send washing instructions!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best upland pants hands down Been upland bird hunting in Washington state for close to 40 hrs. Retired and hunt several days a week during the season. We have a lot of rain and a lot of blackberry stickers/briars. Theses pants are tough, light weight, don’t absorb water and are completely waterproof. They are a “little” noisy but not bad. But it’s that material that sheds all seeds and burrs that can stick to your clothing, so it’s well worth it. They dry quick and wear well. Just bought my second pair. My only minor gripe is that there is no back pocket on left rear side as that is where I carry my wallet. I thought I would miss suspenders buttons, but the pants are so light and have this sticky/catchy rubber material in waist band that keeps them up just fine, even when wet. You won’t be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tough but wet Usually wear a 36 (or 37) but sized up to accommodate some layers. Didn’t need to do that because of the stretch in the waistband but it was a non issue with some suspender. These pants saw 20+ miles of plum thickets, rose bushes, and thick cover. After taking them out of the wash they looked brand new without a scratch on them. I did notice the bottom few inches of the pants were soaked from the 1 inch of snow on the ground. I didn’t notice if the inside was wet cause of my boots and layers but the guys wearing there cheap Cabellas pants didn’t have water marks on their cuffs.
