Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good shirt I like this shirt. I was looking for a warm shirt for winter. I will probably use this as an over shirt. The fabric is a bit heavy which I like. The sewing and construction is good. The wife says it looks nice. I got the "wine". The fit is generous which will make it a good over shirt. I might have sized down if I was going to wear it only as a shirt. The only quibble I have is with the sleeves. Older shirts have sleeves sewn into the body at something like a 90 degree angle. Many "modern" shirts have the sleeves angled down. Modern shirts restrict you movement more than older shirts. I much prefer the "older" cut.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fabric Too Heavy! LLBean made a lighter weight corduroy shirt FOR years, that is greatly missed, I am sure, by those of us who don't live in a blizzard zone. We do need something more in the winter, and the discontinued shirts were just a great weekend/evening go-to. This heavier shirt is way too rigid, the fabric isn't as soft, the tab where the button holes are is rigid, making it difficult to button the shirt. Even after washing, the tab is so rigid that the shirt front moves up when you sit down. The fabric and colors are beautiful. The shirt is made beautifully. Please bring back the other shirt!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lakewashed Corduroy Shirt I've never bought an unsatisfactory product from L.L.Bean! I did buy a corduroy shirt some years ago that was a good product; however, this shirt is a superior product! I wear it over an LL Bean sweater here near the Smoky Mountains as winter approaches, and find them to be the perfect combination. Some reviewers were not too keen on the stiffness of the cloth, but I find the thickness to be a real barrier on chilly mornings here in the mountains. I bought the teal color; then ordered the wine colored version. I like them so well - I'm thinking about getting another color! Buy one....or two.... - you won't regret it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed I was so excited when I found that LL Bean was selling men's corduroy shirts again, and I bought 3 of them for my husband. But if you are looking for the corduroy shirt that LL Bean used to sell, this one is definitely not it. After several washings these heavy-wale shirts are still stiff as when they were new. I would think they would be very uncomfortable and can't imagine trying to tuck in this heavy weight fabric, but my husband isn't one to complain. I do find that he reaches first for the old LL Bean (Camden?) corduroy shirts, now threadbare, and these new ones are the last ones worn.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Hello down there in Freeport. I was excited to see this corduroy shirt hoping it was like the Camden shirt offered in the past. Since you discontinued the Camden, I call early each Fall with the hope you were able to find a supplier to make this quality dress corduroy shirt. I call early In the Fall as blue, steel, burgundy colors sell out quickly. I talked to your Product folks and they tell me they’ll pass along the info, but not sure if it will help. LLBean us missing out on the 40s and up professional group. This year you can’t even find a quality cashmere lambs wool sweater for the cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this shirt My husband loves this shirt. It's especially nice because it has two pockets and they don't have flaps covering them. That's quite unusual, and my husband loves it because he likes to carry lots of pens and tools sticking out of his pockets. He likes to wear it loose over a t-shirt. We both love that the collar isn't button-down. I never could understand why a casual shirt would have a button-down collar. I might add that my sister-in-law wanted to steal this shirt from my husband. Now I have to order one for her too! It's a wonderful casual shirt.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back regular old corduroy shirt It's hard for me to find shirt styles I like. I've found a few at LLBean, but it seems like they end up discontinuing all of them. Their corduroy shirt is an example. I've bought several of the one they used to sell -- a simple, button-down shirt, great for casual work wear in the winter. When I went to purchase another one a few days ago, I see they've replaced it with something that it looks like a cowboy would wear to a rodeo. Yuk! No wonder they are already marking them down!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shirt Review This shirt has the perfect weight that wanted in order to wear with just a tee or to layer with a polo underneath. It appears to be well-made, but I’ll have to wait on durability as I’ve worn the shirt only once since receipt. The only issue i see with the shirt to date is the size. I ordered an XL, but the shirt fits more like a 2XL. I washed the shirt in warm water last night in attempt to shrink it a bit, but let it air dry. I believe this will do the trick. Nonetheless, I see why the “fits to size” is only 78%. I believe I’ll be satisfied overall with the shirt.
