Why We Love Them
For more than 80 years, L.L.Bean has set the standard of softness for chamois flannel, and these sheets and pillowcases carry on that tradition. Heavier and warmer than our other flannel sheets, these are made exclusively for us in Portugal by master weavers who skillfully brush both sides of the fabric for an unbeatably plush feel that gets better with every washing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by OhCle from Perfection These are magnificently soft sheets! I surprised my notoriously complaining husband by not telling him I bought new sheets and just putting them on the bed. He could not get over how incredibly soft and soothing these sheets are...and now he's telling our friends about these sheets! We have a latex mattress and most sheets are too large (made for pillow top mattresses), but these sheets fit comfortably, without bunching up on the bed. Pilling has been minimal and completely within reason. I am seriously considering buying these sheets as gifts for family members because I just can't imagine anyone not loving the warmth and softness of these sheets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bigredtruck from 2nd set I originally purchased these sheets 4.5 years ago for our new king size bed. The natural have been wonderful, the only sheets on our bed for 9 months of the year. Finally bought a second set last year in white. We haven't experienced pilling, they wash well, although my laundry machines don't like doing two sheets in one load. The fitted sheet covers the mattress well, stays in place. The flat sheet is long enough to stay tucked in at the foot. We don't use king size pillows so I used my sewing machine to shorten the pillowcases. My husband likes these sheets so much he will adjust the A/C at night to keep using throughout summer!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hikeknitmommy from Soft and warm but a little small I have a set of the Premium Supima flannel sheets, and chose to try these because they're significantly cheaper and a little heavier weight than the Premium ones. The first thing I noticed was that they are a little small. We have a regular King size mattress and the fitted sheet just fit. The flat sheet doesn't come down far enough on the sides to be tucked in. This set definitely wouldn't work if you have pillow top or other thick mattress. However, if it fits your bed, the sheets are very soft, thick, and warm. A few more color options would be nice, but for the price this is a great sheet set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Vicky10 from White is MUCH softer than natural color I absolutely LOVE and recommend these sheets in white, they are incredibly soft and resist pilling, I have used them over the past year and still love them. If you love quality flannel sheets, these are amazing. However, I also have a set in natural...it is a totally different experience. They pilled immediately upon washing, to the extent that I avoid using them. Both sets of sheets are the same size, used on the same bed for the same people. The natural color set is just scratchier in comparison to the white set, the scratchiness is a distraction when I am trying to fall asleep LOL. I totally recommend these sheets in white, but suggest avoiding the natural. You will love the texture and warmth of them in white.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CarKat from Soft, Warm, Soft, and did I say - SOFT!!! I am the world's worst sheet snob. How bad can it be, you ask, well, I take my own sheets when I travel because I can not sleep on rough sheets. Below 600TC is burlap to me. I usually buy 1000TC pure EC, but I thought I'd try these for winter. I had no idea what soft was until I bought these sheets, they are the softest sheets I own. It's like snuggling down in blankets made of clouds. I love them. They wash up beautifully (take a while to dry in the dryer) and fit my king sized mattress perfectly. I recommend these to all the sheet snobs out there. Sweet dreams!

Rated 3 out of 5 by scubamama from Nice, but not like the old chamois sheets These sheets were nice, very soft. But I had purchased a set of the chamois sheets several years ago that were about twice as thick. Those sheets were WONDERFUL! They were the best sheets I ever owned. I finally had to throw them away, because after about 100 or more washes, they were threadbare. I was thrilled when I saw that LL Bean had chamois sheets in the new catalog and immediately ordered a set. They were soft but thin. Sadly I returned them. If you never experienced the older chamois sheets, you'd probably think these were great, MUCH better than plain flannel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Countryclover from Just Wonderful We bought these sheets mid October just as the weather was starting to cool. Put them on the bed the day they came (after washing and drying) and have loved every night of sleeping on them since. They are soft, wash well, fit fantastic, and seem to be holding up very well. There is nothing like climbing into bed and sliding between these warm, cozy sheets on a cold night. We don't have cold sheet shock anymore! If there is anything to complain about it would be the width of the flat sheet It could be just a tad bit wider, though the length is more than adequate. Overall my husband and I have to say that these sheets are just wonderful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NCAMVGUY from Truly Amazing Product I believe I typically judge products harshly. It's hard to find a company that produces quality products and fair prices. LL Bean certainly qualifies. These sheets are just amazing. I normally get 6 hours max of sleep a night and am one of those who leaps out of bed early to embrace the day. My wife is the opposite. These sheets make it VERY difficult to get out of bed they are so warm and comfortable. And getting my wife out of bed is next to impossible. "Honey, you really do have to go to work...but I don't wanna get out of bed." My wife calls these sheets "fluffy" and she is right. We've never had sheets come close to this comfort level. You won't go wrong.
