Rated 5 out of 5 by from TOUGH LITTLE BAG I just returned from a two week trip to Scotland. We traveled by trains and buses, all over the Scottish Highlands. We walked from the railway stations to our accommodations. The carryall pullman was nimble and easy to roll over cobbled streets and pull up the steep streets of Edinburgh and Stirling. The two handles make it easy to quickly store in train luggage compartments and in bus cargo holds and to throw up in the airline bins. We flew Delta on four different flights and I never had a problem with bin space. This bag, plus my Keens waterproof boots and my L.L. Bean waterproof Thermafill coat; were the most valuable things I took on the trip.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Like A Lot, but not LOVE This little guy ROLLS so well! It made my trip with two laptops possible. But, the top of the case is not 100% open. The inch+ "cover" that doesn't unzip makes it really tight to squeeze a laptop into the main section. I was also disappointed that the suitcase weighs as much as it does, so it's already a little weighty before filling. The top section inside the main case is not really divided, so it's not useful for any items that need full coverage and separation. I decided to keep it because a non-spinner lugging one laptop is a drag, and I had to carry two. The wheels worked great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Second Time's the Charm I'm reviewing the second bag we received; the first had a faulty collapsible handle. The handle would not readily collapse. (Not pleasant when blocking the aisle trying to stow your bag) The replacement has not shown a sign of that problem. This is a great carry-on bag meeting present size requirements. It holds enough for more than just a weekend. Maneuvering the bag through crowded airports was easy. The bright blue color makes it easy to spot and the fabric feels sturdy. There is one pocket on one side we can't figure out; it is long and so narrow a hand cannot reach inside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice little suitcase I first ordered the under seat bag, which was way too small for my needs. I wanted something that would fit at least two nights worth of clothes with room to spare, and the under seat bag didn't look like it was going to manage that. But this medium size totally did it, with lots of nooks and crannies. Plenty sturdy seeming, and I'm all about the spinning wheels. This replaces a Bean bag from decades ago, which held up fine but needed updating; this bag should do the trick.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wheel Fell Off Like many prior reviewers, I agree that this next generation pullman is pretty bad. I've owned it for less than a year and the wheel fell off yesterday so it has to go back to LL Bean. (I had my prior pullman for many years before a plastic tire eventually failed - but stayed on.) As for design, the side panel for the key fob is really useless. And note that if you put items in the 2 front halves of the case, the whole case could tip forward. Very impractical. LL Bean, please bring back the prior pullman.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from larger than it looks I used this bag for a two week vacation traveling in Europe. It seemed like it might be a tight squeeze, but I had more clothes than I needed, and it packed and repacked easily. It fits more than it seems like it would, and it handles well moving through airports and on streets. I was very happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great travel bag Lightweight when empty, LOTS of space with nice side compartments and front pockets. Love the separate side compartment that can hold a pair of shoes, keeps dirty shoes away from your clothes. Have only had this for a short while but the construction seems very durable with sturdy handles, zippers and wheels. Very easy to maneuver the bag when walking with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy, Good Size I bought this for a long trip in Asia during spring 2019. I used it as both a carry-on and checked luggage for multiple flights. I was a little concerned about the wheels as I had seen some negative reviews, but I have had good experiences with LL Bean luggage before, so I went for it. Perhaps the luggage handlers internationally are more careful with luggage, but I had no issues with the wheels and thought the zips were rugged. The larger diameter wheels were actually a lifesaver on more bumpy terrain than the smaller wheels on my partner's luggage. This bag survived being checked through from NYC to Beijing to Tokyo and more! I have only used it as a carry-on domestically in the US since it is exactly the maximum allowable dimensions and US domestic flights don't tend to weigh bags :) Despite the stress test last spring and some subsequent domestic travel pre-covid, it still looks almost-new.
