Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the bag it used to be I had the previous two-wheel version of this bag for years. I really liked the layout of the bag with the extra front pocket. The bag is pretty beat up and I wanted a four-wheel bag to take the strain off my shoulder. They made some changes to the front pockets on the bag which I don't feel improved it. The biggest disappointment is the rolling function of the bag. It rolls wherever IT wants to go, not in the direction YOU want to go. I ordered a 2nd bag to replace my wife's in the hope mine was a fluke but her bag operates the same way. We returned both bags to LL Bean. What a disappointment, they ruined a great, functional suitcase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this bag I hesitated at first to buy this bag because some reviewers had trouble packing it, finding the gusset to be a problem. Not so! Here's my hint: pack it vertically. Stand it up on its wheels, unzip and let the flap fall open. I pack my flip-flops or house shoes on the bottom, toiletries and meds on top of that. Then I pack a cube with my nightgown and clothing basics for the next day. (There's still room for a hostess present on top. ) I put my Kindle and travel papers in the front pocket and water bottle on the side. Perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Carry On Recently purchased this bag for a getaway to Florida. I found it to be a perfect size for all the important items I needed to have on board the flight. It has a variety of pockets and compartments which allowed items to be organized an easily accessible. It is lightweight and easily maneuvered about the airport. This is quite useful to me as I am handicapped . Once on the plane the bag stowed neatly under the seat yet items were quickly available as I needed them. I would highly recommend this bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love this suitcase- travel well I love this small suitcase more I thought I would. It has more pockets to store more stuff in it. The telescope handle is very firm does not wiggle and it has 3 settings of heights that stay put without slipping like other suitcases does. I thought the inside looks small but I found it holds more clothes and toilet utensils. The only thing I found wrong were the top flap does not zip or fold all the way back. I had to hold the flap open with one hand and put the clothes on other hand and stuff it which it is difficult to pack. I solved the problem by cutting out the nylon reinforcements on both sides. Now the top flap zipped all the way back and it stay opened while I packed clothes with both hands.. This is why I gave four stars. The wheels on the suitcase is so much easier to roll on carpets. I can also pack my 15 inch Mac in on top of my clothes. It does not have a computer sleeve. But the pockets on outside and side pockets seemed provide the protection for the Mac.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT ! I love it ! Great size and weight. This is the answer for those of us not able to lift a carryon overhead. The only design flaw is the gusset of fabric connecting the zippered opening to the body of the suitcase which makes it difficult to put clothing in. The easy answer is a seam ripper on the gusset, which opens it up and solves the problem.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed Feelings I've bought and happily worn out 2 previous versions of this bag. I'm not pleased with the current version, although I like it better than designs by other manufacturers. My concerns are the change in size and lack of stability. This version is slightly smaller/shorter - especially the front flap. I used to be able to store folders of 8.5x11 papers/photos in the inner compartment of the front flap. The front flap is now too small to store these documents, which will now become crushed when stored in the main compartment. One of the side pockets is also smaller, limiting what I can store in it. The other problem is that when objects are placed in the inner compartment of the front flap, it tips over when the front flap is opened; this didn't happen with the 2 wheel predecessor. So, be sure your laptop or books are secured when you close the bag, or they'll slide out when you open the flap. It is still a compact piece of luggage that holds a lot, but I'm disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not perfect but still excellent bag I am so very happy that I purchased this bag. Just returned from spending three nights away, The bag was just right for a three day trip, holding everything I needed to wear, my toiletries, etc. Spending three days in Florida in the extreme heat meant I didn't need to take very much, but I believe I could make it work in the winter as well. The bag fit under the middle or the window seat on the Delta plane, allowing me to put my violin in the overhead compartment, and I packed what I needed for the flight so that I could reach it after we sat down. Don't book an aisle seat. Yes, I agree that the top might be made to open more fully and the handle could be a bit less wobbly, but it worked very well. A trip without the violin would allow me to put this bag in the overhead and still carry a backpack that could go under the seat. So glad I bought this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handle does not lock in place Great product, but when towing behind, handle does not lock in place until it's all the way out. I am short and I like to keep the handle short when walking with it behind me. It's also easier to lift, if necessary when handle is not fully extended. Otherwise it's very handy with all the different pockets and compartments.
