Rated 5 out of 5 by limboinla from Perfect duvet cover This is, by far, the nicest comforter/duvet cover I've ever seen. It is exactly how a duvet cover should be. The thread count is fine as it is extremely soft and has that feel of coolness next to my skin. It has 4 ties inside for tying on the duvet loops. The best part, though, is that it has (12) buttons on the end that are medium size, tightly stitched and perfect size. You simply turn it inside out, tie the 4 ties, pull it down over duvet and then button up. I searched the internet for a whole day just trying to find a duvet cover with buttons and apparently it's very rare, or only 2 or 3 buttons are offered. This is top of the line in my book. It is what I consider a European duvet cover. Thank you for a great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by LivinLovely from Just what we were looking for This is a fantastic comforter cover, we are very pleased. The cover has the texture, weight, tight weave and crisp, soft feel of a quality percale sheet. There are little ties on the inside corners which help hold the comforter in place, the solid buttons and button closures are "hidden", making for a nice finished look and the "pale orchid" flower design is nothing short of gorgeous. The cover makes our bed look classy, our room cheery and makes us happy, plus it is like sleeping in a mountain wildflower meadow. The colors are not quite as vivid as the online picture, but are still vibrant and the overall look is elegant. Overall this is an excellent quality comforter cover, one we look forward to using for years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by June from Very happy with this comforter cover! Just what I wanted to protect our down comforter. Nice quality cotton. Holds up well in the wash. Has the weight and feel of a good-quality percale sheet. Fits our queen-sized comforter well. Like the little ties in the corners to hold the comforter in place and prevent too much drifting. Looks nice on the bed. Yes, it's a bit wrinkled-looking, but isn't bad especially if the comforter is under another spread. Don't think you'd want to use this as the sole top covering on a bed unless it's a kid's room. Otherwise very cheery-looking and a great buy on sale.

Rated 3 out of 5 by preppymeetsredneck from Beautiful, but not enough ties I am admitting that I am writing this review while close to being in a rage. I should not be this frustrated trying to make a bed!!! I actually had to stop, to go get my sewing kit and some ribbon so that I can create extra ties on the top of the comforter and inside the cover. After spending over $500 for a comforter and the cover, I shouldn't have to be doing this! If I didn't like the pattern and color so much, they would be going back. There should be either more ties, or even buttons along the top to attach the comforter and cover to each other so I don't have a mess.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Oxaloacetate from Lovely cover! I really like this cover. It was a little bit scratchy to the face (not hands/body) at first, but after washing it once it has improved a lot and I expect it will continue to do so with further use. The pattern is cheerful and a pretty color without being to bright or loud or dated (I have the antique pine floral print). The fabric is a nice weave that feels like good quality, and the ties are sewed in firmly. I also find that my comforter is not sliding down or bunching up inside; the cover and comforter stay together pretty well. Thanks for a quality product once again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by MandCs from Something missing The previous duvet covers I've purchased from L.L.Bean have had ties in the corner to keep the down comforter where it should be. Why did you do away with the ties? Now the comforter shifts inside the duvet and it looks sloppy. I'm going to be buying twill tape and sewing my own in, but am disappointed that you cut corners in the corners!

Rated 2 out of 5 by maxanaga from limp fabric, excess fabric, tie not at corner If you're looking for a "crisp" feel, this is far from it. I had gotten this same product in a different color and was fairly satisfied though it was not as crisp as the 220 ct percale sheets in Sand Dab I got, (discontinued unfortunately) they were better than average. After constant use (no dryer though) the cover wore at the seam so I had to replace it. I got the same size, (king) but a different color and the size is too big so there is excess fabric you get tangled up in. The main problem is the feel is very limp, not at all crisp. I've washed it several times and never use the dryer. Perhaps the supplier would call this "soft" but I call it limp. I prefer crisp sheets and this cover is not close. Another difference is that the ties near the buttom cover is a few inches away from the bottom so not on the corners. The ties on the other side are at the corners. Not sure if this is design or mistake.

Rated 3 out of 5 by 3doglady from not the usual quality For some reason this sheet material feels lighter, less substantial, less soft and overall of lesser quality than all other 280 thread count cotton percale bedding I have obtained from LL Bean. I loved my other sheets so much, I ordered this to mix up the pattern with the stripes and solids, loving how they all coordinate. I am happy with the appearance, but less so with the feel of the material. Not as soft and "peachy." Can't understand why if it is the same material, weight/quantity woven in the same way. Change of vendor? I hope all the other bedding stays the same...it has held up remarkably well even with working dogs on the bed and VERY frequent washings...
