    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what I expected We bought a King set, but the first thing I noticed was the top sheet couldn’t tuck in on either side, and we don’t have a giant king mattress. It’s just smaller in width than most. Secondly, we always wash sheets before using them, and I couldn’t believe how mangled the top “ribbon” was on the top sheet. I had to iron it, and even then it was a mess. Next, after a few washes, the sheets started to pill AND they felt more coarse with each wash. They’re not scratchy like sandpaper, but they’re not soft after washing, and they’re increasingly less soft with each wash. So sad. I’m loyal to LL Bean, but these are not my jam at all.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultrasoft comfort flannel sheet set, red ochre I purchased this sheet set because the heritage chamois set that I originally planned to buy was out of stock. I must say, I'm glad I did. I love the colour (I would recommend washing separately), and they are incredibly cozy. These sheets seem to 'breathe', allowing for a comfortable, just the right temperature, sleep. I purchased a heritage chamois comforter cover and while it's beautiful, there is a difference in the feeling of the two fabrics. This one seems 'fluffier'. I do plan to treat myself to a set of the heritage chamois sheets as well. These sheets are sure to be my new favourites going into a cold Canadian winter!

Although these sheets feel absolutely wonderful, the first set has to go back because the corner pocket seam of the fitted sheet started to come apart after one use (despite our mattress only being 12"). The replacement set JUST arrived and before even washing I wanted to inspect them thoroughly. The first piece I unfolded and held up to the light -- the fitted sheet -- had a dime-sized circle where the threads were broken (and a hole would have quickly formed). Obviously, that set's going back too. What a shame...they FELT heavenly!!! On a positive note: LL Bean stands behind their products 100% and their customer service people are wonderful.

    Rated 2 out of 5 by from They literally have fallen apart Pulled these out of the dryer to find the fitted sheet had become so thin it is in shreds. This end is always at our feet. Mind you, I've had these 2.5 winters, we rotate through 3 sets of flannel sheets from about Dec-Mar. Of course we sleep on them but we don't hang out in bed watching TV or reading, etc. No children. And I use a gentle front loading machine, never bleached or even needed harsh washing. I take care of my things to last and these certainly have not. The areas where we don't lie and the flat sheet still feel thick and unworn. So sleeping on sheets at most 6-8 weeks a year, washing weekly wears them through? I won't buy these again.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE my first flannel sheets I bought this, my first flannel sheet, from LLB last winter. just one fitted sheet to see how I would like it and despite the fact that I have plenty of lovely percales from LLB I am so in love with this one in winter that I keep washing and putting it right back on the bed. I really love the feel, to me, very ahhh when I lay down, soft and warm and just says home, and I look forward to getting more and would take every color if I could. I chose for my first the mineral green but think all the colors would work (I like how LLB will picture every color they offer against the same background which to me makes that point).

Even though the tag says to wash in warm water and to tumble dry low and remove promptly, there are more specific instructions for flannel (look it up online). I have never owned flannel sheets and I did not realize they were so delicate. You can damage the fibers if you do not pay attention to the care of flannel. It is suggested that cool water on a delicate cycle is best and to line dry if you can or at least not to over dry on the lowest setting. I washed the sheets like I do all my sheets and after two washings the plush, soft feeling is gone. LLBean, please put more specific washing and drying instructions on these sheets!

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Shrink Resistant Bought the Windowpane style of the Ultrasoft Comfort flannel sheets in October. The sheets have shrunk to the point of barely fitting my 12 1/2" deep queen mattress. Probably wouldn't fir a 15" deep mattress. Flat sheet listed at 92" wide is now 81" wide. Can't be tucked in on the sides. Fitted sheet listed at 60" wide now 54" wide. Pillowcases barely long enough to fit pillows. These sheets are soft with almost no pilling but have shrunk more than any flannel sheets I have ever owned. They are not shrink resistant! Very disappointed considering the cost.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it! I have brought these sheets many, many times. I was a little disappointed at first because there was no shades of purple. That is my favorite color, and that is what my bedroom is. So I thought that I would try the heather gray. When I got them I was so excited. So I threw them right into the washer and dryer, and put them on my bed. The color made the bed look so warm and cozy. The sheets are so soft and warm. I now have a problem of getting out of bed. Also, we have twin x-long beds and it is nice to find nice sheets that fit. Please don't stop making the heather gray color.
