Rated 5 out of 5 by DaniR from Proudly made in USA! WOW! WOW! WOW! Not only did I feel patriotic while making my bed, but also very pleased! The softness of this blanket makes me eager to crawl into bed and get snuggling! The color is absolutely beautiful (bluegrass). The thickness is perfect for every season. Quality is superb, which is typical for LLBean, but what truly makes me excited and thrilled is the fact that its not only made in the USA, but right here in good ol' Maine!!!! I do not normally leave feedbacks but I just had to let everyone know that this blanket is worth every cent. Yes, the price is high for a simple blanket, but for me the fact its made by Americans makes it totally worth it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kisa from perfect summer blanket I've always wanted a blanket like this but was afraid the loops would "pull." However that isn't a problem with this high quality, lightweight but tightly woven blanket. Our pets are on and off the bed and their claws have no effect on the weave of this blanket. It's the perfect weight for summertime. As some other reviewers have mentioned, this blanket runs large and is almost unmanageable in the twin size. I've started folding the blanket in half and lying it on the bed doubled up, which looks great and makes the bed a lot easier to make every day. Otherwise I've been happy with the durability, breathability, and washability of this great-looking blanket.

Rated 2 out of 5 by LLTed from Light cotton blanket feels like lead We bought (and returned) a queen blanket. We were expecting something that would feel light and airy to the hand and more importantly when sleeping under it. It felt ok, but putting it over us, it was surprisingly heavy. We're going back to Polartec covers. Two other things we did not like. The pattern runs on a diagonal, so there are no visual clues which is the top/bottom and the side, an inconvenience especially on queen which is almost square. Also, there were no washing instructions with the packaging nor on the website. We called LLBean and we learned it had to be washed in a commercial front loading washer. Another inconvenience.

Rated 2 out of 5 by AnnaAnd from Disappointing I was not impressed with the quality when it first arrived. The hemmed edges did not look neat, and it did not feel substantial. But I thought that I would give it a try based on the many good reviews. If it had cost $30, I would understand, but it was so much more than that. I may add that it was not on a child's bed where it would be prone to heavier use, yet after a month, it looks so bad that I don't want to use it anymore. Tugs and snags add to the cheap feel that the bulky uneven hemmed edges gave it when I first opened it. I don't get any joy in giving bad reviews, but my honest opinion is that the quality is substandard in relation to the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by llBeanLovernVA from Want More I bought this blanket in mid-blue a year ago. I had been looking for a cotton blanket for our bed that had enough coverage on the sides it would cover two people. Every king size blanket had left me in the cold and then shrank. Not this one. It covers! And after being washed a dozen times it is just as big as ever. It can be a little warm for southeastern Virginia summers but it is perfect in spring and fall and layers beautifully with a fleece blanket that I bought from llbean 15 years ago or more in the winter. We have four active ocicats that run and play on the bed and this blanket hasn't snagged or pulled once so it holds up well to pets too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ThankyouMaine from WOW! Reading the reviews for this blanket just does not prepare you for how incredibly soft it is. I am totally in love with this blanket. We recently purchased a king bed and trying to find quality linens has been quite a job. I have ordered things from well known companies and been disappointed in what I have received and I am very easy to please. The quality of this blanket is amazing, is generous in the sizing and feels like you have purchased the most expensive blanket ever made. I also love that I don't have to worry about my dog snagging it which is the main reason I purchased it. Don't hesitate, just buy it. :+)

Rated 5 out of 5 by NickofMD from Gorgeous cotton blanket! This blanket had been placed in my shopping cart more times that I can count before I finally took the plunge and ordered it last week. As soon as I opened the package I could tell how well it was made, and that it will last for many years. It's soft and gorgeous, and I've just pulled it from the dryer and put it on my bed. It's a nice weight - I have it paired with a matelasse blanket (also from LLB) and it should be a perfect combination for most of the year - but I will probably add another blanket in colder months. Love it! (***NOTE: I have a deep queen bed and ordered a king sized blanket to make sure that it's long enough on the sides.***)

Rated 5 out of 5 by PhiAE01 from Easily washable -- and very soft I bought this blanket for use as a summer blanket in GA -- not that you strictly need a blanket in the summer down here, but thanks to the blessings of AC it is a luxury. We have a light weight down blanket we use in the winter. I was concerned about ordering it because one of the reviews mentioned that it does say "commercial wash". Well throwing cation to the wind, I put it directly in my HE washer under the "bulky" setting fully concerned that it would never dry down here in the humidity. I should not have been concerned. It washed and dried in a home unit splendidly. No problems at all. It is great -- nice and big, a reasonable weight, and very soft.
