Rated 5 out of 5 by gmax3 from New favorite! I have recently bought several of these shirts. I usually buy LLB's pima cotton scoop neck tee but decided to try these. I really like this tee because: it is a bit longer than the pima cotton tee; it has elbow length sleeve which hide the "ugly" part of my arms; the neck is low enough not to feel strangled like I sometimes do with crew necks; it washes well; it has a nice shape; and it is reasonable priced. That's a lot of pluses! This tee is my new favorite. If it has a drawback, the tee is more substantial than my pima cotton tee so it can be a little warm for our hot summer days here in the southwest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nonpretentious from Hooray for the elbow length sleeve! I'm a 76 year old woman who has worn LL Bean Tees for decades. Now retired, I spend a lot of time gardening in the warmer months. So I greatly appreciate having the choice of an elbow length sleeve for more sun coverage. I've also noticed over the years that Bean's "short" sleeve T's have grown briefer/shorter which may be fine for younger women with firmer arms and/or interested in tanning---but such short sleeves no longer meet my needs. I would love for Bean to offer a V-neck Tee with an elbow sleeve length in their 2021 spring line.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BRShopper from Shrinkable Tee The neckline, elbow sleeves, and length are very flattering. The issue is that these tees shrink so much in length and width, when washed on cold and dried on low, that the customer can only guess what size to buy. Two sizes larger than needed? No, three sizes larger than needed? I've wasted a lot of money guessing and have given up. Why isn't LL Bean, who is famous for quality, making "unshrinkable" tees with a jewel neckline and elbow sleeves. I can't imagine how so many are giving this tee five stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by jKellyVT from My new favorite shirt My new favorite shirt is the elbow polo. I used to purchase 3/4 length sleeves for my summer shirts. But now the elbow length seems to be just the right length. The reason I gave it a “4” is because when you take it out of the washer and line dry it, it looks wrinkled. I now wash all of my L.L. Bean shirts in cold water and only line dry them because they have a tendency to shrink in length. My suggestion for the R&D team at L.L. Bean is to make polos just a little bit longer - maybe an inch or two and allow for the shrinkage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MortysMom from a love affair I have at least 16 of this particular shirt, in practically every color that you offer (some doubles). I am elderly with fat upper arms which are nicely concealed by the longish sleeves. Of course, I have a "farmer's tan" on my arms because of it. The one downside (sorry to mention it) is that I am OLD, and I seem to adorn my shirts with spots from everything I eat or cook. Problem: the spots do NOT come out easily on the wonderfully comfortable blend of fabrics that you use. Half of my 16 tees have had to be relegated to the "work shirt" pile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GinnyC from Elbow Sleeve Length Tee I particularly like the elbow length sleeves on these tees as I no longer wear the shorter sleeves that reveal more of my upper arms. I am 73 years old. I wish there were more neckline varieties and colors in the tees with elbow length sleeves. Currently there aren't any with elbow length sleeves in the crew neck style. I am in that generation called Boomers and there are an awful lot of us. I am guessing there are a lot of us who would order elbow length sleeves if more were available. The fabric was very nice and soft. The size of Petite Medium was excellent for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Kittymom from WARNING: Bright Blue Isn't The Color Shown I have been buying LL Bean Teas for years and love them. I particularly like the light blues they used to have and "Bright Blue" was one of my favorites. So I ordered 2 of these in July 2020, had to wait a month for them as they were back-ordered, and when they arrived they were a dark blue, not quite navy, but far from the bight blue that is shown online and in the catalog (and not what I have from last year). The picture shows the actual shirt color with the label "Bright Blue" and the catalog showing what they call "Bright Blue" and it is obvious that they aren't even close.

Rated 4 out of 5 by INEB from great sleeve length! I am sooo glad to see this sleeve length. At just turning 80 and not very fit, my arms aren't so good looking any more. So I am getting more of these. I just wish they were pima cotton, as I think this heavier-weight, coarser fabric will be less comfortable in summer. I did wash it in my normal warm, delicate fabric setting, and it shrank some, as I'd hoped; it was too large before washing. But, come on,, LLB, make more sleeves like this.
