Rated 3 out of 5 by Deserthigh from Not for cold weather I wore the jacket for the first time this morning in 42 deg. partially overcast with a slight breeze and found the jacket to be not warm enough. Walked for 40 minutes and I was still cold. My arms and chest were warm but not my back. I will have to wear my packaway vest under the jacket. I wish LL. Bean would bring back their insulated jacket with the fleece side panels from a few years ago; that is so warm in comparison (I still have it but use it for working around the garden). Eliminate the fleece panels and make the whole jacket the same. Now I have to look for a warmer jacket so that I don’t have to wear a lot of layers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by arthursmomma from Love It I needed a jacket for an upcoming trip to Myanmar and I saw this one on a flyer that came in the box of another item I ordered online. I loved the silver color with yellow accents, so went online to order it. Here are some highlights of this jackey: * The fit is true to size. I layered a tee shirt and a hoodie under it and it still fit well. * The jacket compacts into its own pocket, very small, that takes up very little room in my backpack. * It doubles as a pillow in an airplane, when tucked into its pocket. * Perfect for cool mornings and evenings. * It is very light in weight, yet very warm. I highly recommend this jacket!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Titan1 from Great lightweight coat I am very petite and ordered the coat in mountain blue, XXS-P and it fits perfectly. It is roomy enough for layering a sweater underneath, without being baggy. I also love the color and that the coat is super lightweight and thin. It is a very vibrant pretty blue. The coat kept me warm at temperatures in the 40's (with just a long sleeve T-shirt underneath). It's also windproof (tested walking on the beach in Maine on a blustery cool day)and kept me dry in light rain. I am very happy with my purchase and can highly recommend this coat if you are looking for something for fall or early spring, as well as for milder winter climates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ShirleyFL from time for me to update my coat Since I live in Florida, I have little use for a winter coat EXCEPT for when I travel to visit family and friends in cold climates. My 20 year old wool coat was bulky and beginning to show its age, so my daughter suggested that I look into the new advances available for winter outer wear. I'm so happy I did! This coat takes up a fraction of the space my old coat did and yet it kept me warm. It can be folded into its own pocket making it the size of a tooth fairy pillow - amazing. Some of the issues I worried about unnecessarily: the sleeves were plenty long, there are lots of pockets and it didn't make me look fat! For me, this coat is a winner.

Rated 3 out of 5 by arwMommy from Great jacket, terrible printed lining My teenaged daughter has this jacket (in ivory) and loved it so much she convinced me to get one of my own. I ordered it in the gorgeous Juniper color and was shocked that the lining was a horrible green/navy print reminiscent of a bad 1990s sofa. As hers was lined in the same material inside and out, and the photos online do NOT show the lining at all, I assumed it would be the same with the Juniper color. The jacket is amazing (super light, and shockingly warm), and the outside color is even better in person, but I am disappointed I am going to have to keep it zipped so the lining doesn't show. :(. Updated photos that show linings are desperately needed. So conflicted about returning it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by VTMamma from Phenomenal Jacket I bought this jacket a week ago and I have barely taken it off. It is warm, lightweight, I LOVE the color (I purchased the dark marine blue and get compliments on it every time I wear it), and it’s a great layering piece. I skin, hike, and ski a lot and will wear this piece often. Over things I like... the fabric has a really nice slight sheen to it, which I love because it makes it a little bit dressier when the occasion arises. It’s also a great length-a slightly longer piece, which makes it even more functional for me. Love his jacket!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by BoulderMary from New and Better With this jacket, you need to exercise enough to generate body warmth, which the jacket material then holds in your body heat to keep you warm. It is incredibly light weight for its warmth. In using it , I have found that I can overheat and need to unzip a little at temperatures in the 20s. This is particularly true when nordic skiing. At lower temperatures I find I need a light sweater under the jacket particularly if I am simply walking about. The jacket is stylish compared to most winter coats. With hindsight I should have ordered one with a hood but as there was no way to keep hood out of the way I chose without. Love the jacket. It has become my "go-to" jacket

Rated 4 out of 5 by KMW2 from Lightweight, nice trim I ordered this in Medium and it was backordered, so I took a chance and ordered Large since I wanted it to be roomy. It is roomy, perhaps too much so. The fit is generous. The contrasting trim on the lining and zipper make this jacket stand out a little in style and I like that a lot. The warmth is good if you are not heading out to the snow. I would rate it a cozy choice for spring/fall weather with a fleece or sweatshirt underneath. Its very good at wind blocking. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the warmth factor - I had hoped for more. Overall, I like it and will probably order the medium when it becomes available. Nice jacket!
