Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great shirt. Question quality This shirt fit and looked great. I do like the snap buttons and did not mind that it’s not a true flannel ( inside liner is not flannel). However after wearing casually twice and one wash on gentle cycle fabric tore away and is fraying at the top of the pocket. It looks bad now and is only going to get worse. Very disappointing for any type of clothing, let alone a “performance” 80 dollar flannel. Now this looks like a old hand me down. I can’t imangine this would hold up for my contracting job or would be something I could use snowboarding. As much as I enjoy Llbean I find their quality not to be as high as the pricepoint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shirt My absolute favorite flannel. Bought one a few years ago, and immediately picked up other colors. Wear them throughout the fall and winter. They're cut in a very stylish/modern way, and look clean and great at work or out. They're "slightly fitted", and I'm a bigger guy so I was worried at first, but the shirt is a great fit. Not tight, and not baggy. They were a little snug when I first got them in the upper arms and around the midsection, but this was only when I was in certain positions (sitting up and forward, bending my arms tightly). After wearing them a few times and a few washings, they've actually loosened up and fit even better than before, with no more snug parts. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A "Real" Outdoor Shirt The Performance Flannel Shirt has a roomy fit and the brushed fabric makes this an ideal shirt for outdoor activity. This is not some button down collar shirt trying to pass itself off as an "outdoor" shirt. The cut and fabric seem designed to be worn camping and fishing or hiking in cool or cold weather. It is fastened by snaps instead of buttons. Having buttons or snaps makes no difference to me, but I have found that the snaps are sturdy. This shirt worn over a long sleeved synthetic undershirt makes for a cozy colder weather combination. This shirt has stayed very neat looking after about ten washings (cool & warm water) since I bought it. I expect that to continue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Whole Family Loves This Shirt I love this shirt. I bought one for my husband over a year ago and it's still holding up strong. Strong enough that I inherited it when he decided he liked the color of the one I bought for myself better. We got a small one for my teenaged son, one for me, two for my husband. We wear them to work and school, and we wear them out backpacking and hiking. They're comfy and look good, but they're also very functional. Ended up in a fall snowstorm at 7500 feet and it kept me warm and dry. Really my only complaint is that there isn't a child sized one so that I can get one for my 8 year old as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to all around shirts - love them! I started off with one to see how it would fit and feel since it is synthetic and not cotton. First off, the snaps In place of the buttons are awesome. I can get the shirt on and off quickly. Dries much faster than cotton as well: hanging or using low heat. I waited for end of season clearance and ended getting every color in this style: I’m fortunate to take advantage of the not so popular men size small, lol. I’ve worn it with just a t-shirt below or light thermal top during the winter and cool spring so far. Warm, breathable and doesn’t seem to absorb odors. If you are looking for a higher performance all around shirt to replace cotton this IS the one. Try one and I’m sure you will end up getting a few more! YMMV.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Pleased This was my first purchase ever from LL Bean. I had a question about these shirts so I emailed Bean's customer service. I couldn't believe when the answered me in under 5 minutes. So the customer service was excellent, but what about the product? My order arrived promptly and the shirt was in good condition - as it should be. It fits me fine and is very nice looking and comfortable. I have a few similar snap button flannel shirts from another company in the same price range but this shirt is better all around. The material is softer, it fits better, the snaps appear to be heavier and more robust and the material itself is thicker than the shirts from those other guys. I will be purchasing other colors of this same shirt. If your looking for a flannel shirt with snaps and of superior quality, I would highly recommend this shirt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fit is almost there, but not for me..... Just got the flannel. I'm 6'4" 235 with an athletic build covered by several years of dad bod. I probably have 20lbs to lose for reference. I bought the XL Tall in Eucalyptus. Sleeve length = PERFECT, Chest = PERFECT, Quality = SEEMS GOOD, BUT TIME WILL TELL, Color = DARKER IN REAL LIFE, Waist = FAIL. If it wasn't for the waist size, I'd be keeping this flannel. It needs to be about 4-6 in narrower down there. The color is much darker in person than on the website, but I really like it. That's not a knock on it, just an observation. This would probably fit a wider person very well. Just not for me. I might try a Large Tall, but am afraid the sleeves will be too short....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unique Shirt I suppose I'm qualified to review this shirt as I've accumulated 6 of them in various colors over the last few years. The key is that this shirt is a modern, slim cut - in contrast to many Bean flannels. I typically wear a medium in most Bean shirts/sweaters with plenty of room to spare. The medium overland fleece is form-fitting on me - which is fine in some contexts with a smart pair of jeans. The garment is cut noticeably tight in the arms (it's no mean task to roll up your sleeves) and the sides. If you are looking for more room I would size up one size from your typical Bean shirt size. With those caveats, I live in these shirts in the cool weather. They are: warm, extremely comfortable, suitable for the trail or office, hard-wearing, quick drying, easy to layer over and well made. The snaps make it easy to take off or button up with changing temperatures.
