Great construction and warmth, weird sizing
The jacket itself is great. It's warm, pretty durable, and the colors are nice.
The sizing seems a little off to me. I'm 6'1" about 180 (I'm a pretty thin guy) and bought the regular large. The size in the chest and sleeves was good but it was akwardly short in the torso. It sat no more than an inch below my belt and if I were to reach up to grab something, my stomach would be exposed.
I returned it for a Tall Large. Sleeves are a little long but the fit is much better in the torso. The sizing is imperfect but if you're over 6'0", you'll probably want to choose the Tall option, even if it results in sleeves that are slightly too long.

Pocket Non-functional
This pullover used to have two pockets. Now it has one - sometimes called a "kangaroo pouch" pocket. I returned it because of this design. Everything in your pocket goes to the center. If you lean over something, you may crush whatever is in the pocket. Also, you can't follow a routine of organizing things in your pockets - reading glasses right, sun glasses left, phone right, right glove right, etc. Everything is mixed together. I find it annoying. I was disappointed in the change because I really like the aging one I have. I was hoping fall 2018 might bring a change - nope.

My favorite sweater - but the smell is terrible
I love these sweaters! I have a women's version for myself from last year (I'm a woman#, and recently bought two as gifts #one for a woman and one for a man). The have had no issues with mine, but both that I bought as gifts this year STINK. LL Bean what did you change?!?! The smell is a mixture of bonfire smoke with chemicals and it is really, really bad. I aired this one out for 2 days, and have washed and Febreezed it FIVE times and the smell is still there. My husband loves it, but I can't stand to be around him when he wears it. LL Bean, please fix this. I would buy in every color if you could fix the smell. I am begging you!

Fleece Pilling, Liner Stretching
I am usually thrilled with LLBean quality, but this is a rare instance where a garment had fallen short.
I often keep my sunglasses in a pocket - in this case, where the hands pocket is. It is backed up by a very sheer liner material which stretches easily. Even the light weight of my sunglasses has stretched the material, which now protrudes from the bottom front hem and looks like a weird pouch.
I am also surprised that after only a few washings, the fleece material is pilling.
C'mon LLBean, you usually do better than this!

Sleeves run long
Nice looking. Roomy enough to not be confining. Got it in the blue, which is a nice shade. Unfortunately, the sizing of the sleeves is out of whack. I am a Regular XL and normally wear a 34/35 sleeve. On this sweatshirt the sleeves go well below my wrist. About a third of the way down my hands. I would think that a 37/38 sleeve length would be the Long version. I own a similar sweatshirt from Patagonia where the elastic at the bottom of the sleeves is a little more effective. On this shirt the hem of the sleeve narrows the cuff a bit, but it has no real benefit to keeping the sleeves up. The overall effect is like wearing your older brother’s sweatshirt when you were a kid.

Warm, well-made, but large.
I have a few fleece sweaters from a few other brands and realize the fit varies. I got a Large in this one as it as described as "slightly fitted" which led me to expect it would fit my frame well. It is not at all fitted - it wears like it was designed for someone with much more mass and heft than me. Arm length is slightly long too, but that is easy to correct with an alteration if desired. But the overall fit with the arm pouch and loose bottom is just too large and baggy. It would not look good in a business-casual setting. That being said, it is very warm and feels well-made, so I think I'll try exchanging for a medium.

Poor construction
First off, this fleece fits great and is very comfortable. It looks great too. Unfortunately the stitching around the cuffs is cheap and light. After a couple wearings and one wash, the piping around the cuffs is beginning to break loose. At this price point I was expecting a much more durable product. I wanted this to be a go-to fleece for around the house, but at this rate it will only last for a couple months before it needs replacing.

Wear It Everyday
I initially purchased a hickory and found I was wearing it nearly everyday once the weather turned cool. So on the next 25% off sale I bought a second one, bright navy. They are very comfortable and can be worn with a variety of shirts for style and warmth. My pup, with her long nails often jumps up on me and she has yet to cause a snag so am confident in durability. Plus being able to clean in washer/dryer makes it more practical for everyday wear. Looking at getting a full zip to replace my older fleece jacket as it is warmer, more stylish and just as comfortable and durable as the fleece jacket.
