Rated 4 out of 5 by from Regular sizes and longer, please Please PLEASE!!!! (This is a message to LL Bean rather than a review) I'm SO in love with this sweater!!! I've been admiring it for the olive color and the lovely, unique rustic look of chunky cable knit w/ shading for a long time now! "Signature" line unfortunately is not a good fit for older ladies like me (body shape changes with age!), plus you sold out in all but the smallest size (as usual; please stock more of the larger sizes to better meet the demand!) Please, please please offer this shaded chunky cable in regular misses sizes, in this olive and in the blue, and with a longer length for a more flattering look!!! Thank you! (I LOVE LL Bean; it rocks!!!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Sweater This is an exceptional garment. The fit is great, more roomy than the current "tight fitting" styles from other stores. The quality and workmanship is terrific. Yes it is more expensive than some, (especially more for us Canadians with the current exchange and duties), but worth it. This garment is one of those items that will be in your wardrobe for years. Washes very well and does not shrink. Loved it so much that I bought one in blue and the other in beige. The only suggestion I have is to offer a few more colors. L.L.Bean, you have winner here and I hope you will offer this type of sweater for the next few years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My New Favorite Sweater The previous reviews were very helpful with sizing. I decided on a size small for my 5'4", 130lb bod, and I love the fit. It gives me enough room through the torso to be comfy, yet still looks flattering. I wore it three times my first week I had it, and got LOTS of compliments. The longer tunic length and those cute side zippers give it a fun stylish twist to this timeless classic. The weave is plenty tight enough to not need an under layer, and after washing it today and air-drying it outside, it's soft and ready to wear again. It's my new go-to sweater, and looks fab with my LLBean tall leather riding boots. Perhaps I need the blue one too.....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heaven As a lifelong bean shopper, this is my best llbean purchase ever. Excellent quality sweater. It is longer than photo, falls at low hip. The cut, and cableknit texture, softness of yarns, edge detailing is all well done. I am 5'10" and had stopped buying bean tops because they are too short, especially the sleeves. But not this one, I ordered a size up with the large for the extra length, and the length is perfect - the width is roomy which I like but if you want a fitted look, and dont need the extra length it should be an ample fit at 'true to size'. Super comfortable, soft and 'moves easily'. I cant take it off, I just love it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful sweater, poorly made! I've been a happy LL Bean customer for years and years, so this was a surprise to me, since their clothes are usually so sturdy. This great looking fishermans sweater arrived with a two inch hole in the seam above the side zipper. It was shipped to me in a flimsy plastic bag that didn't exactly lend itself to packing up the sweater and returning it, so I took it to a tailor to have it repaired, and he saw that it was so badly sewn that a gentle tug pulled the seam open more. I had him reenforce both side seams. It's not a cheap sweater, especially when you add in the cost of repair; a disappointing experience overall.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not soft like I expected - Please read! I have to start by saying that it was my mistake in buying this sweater. If you are familiar with a "fisherman" type of sweater, you will probably love this sweater. I expected the material to be soft and flexible, but it is very stiff and almost rough. It has a really nice shape and fit great...long and flattering as it covered the toosh (the material is pretty heavy & would be good for fall/winter), it just was not for me due to my mistake regarding the type of fabric. For reference, I am 5'3" 135 lbs (broad shoulders, narrower hips) and got an extra small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from beautiful forest green color This is a beautiful Black Forest green fisherman's sweater. Some of the reviews recommended ordering a size down, which I did not do because the customer service rep said that it was slightly fitted. In many LLBean things I am in between large and XL, but I have a signature cable short cardigan in large whose arms are a bit too snug on me, so I ordered the XL in this one, and I am glad that I did because the arms fit well. The XL sweater is a bit large on me, but the Large would have been a little tight, plus on cold days I can wear the sweater over another shirt. I like the longer length of this sweater too, and think that it would look good with black leggings. The neckline is a little looser than other fisherman's sweaters, but that is fine with me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Much Sweater!! I was so excited about this sweater. Loved the washed indigo color, the fisherman knit pattern, and what looked like a neckline more open than regular crew. I also thought I'd like the length. In the end i liked the pattern, open neckline, and the fact that it was cotton, but not the weight of the yarn or the length....It was altogether too bulky and too long for me. I read the reviews and they were quite good so i didn't expect to not like it. I would definitely buy a revised version of this sweater with a lighter weight yarn, softer, cotton or any combination of cotton and linen, hemp, rayon or bamboo, low hip length- not longer,
