    Rated 1 out of 5 by from That Leg Seam???? I have two of the cropped version of these pants and love them, wear them all the time. With the cooler weather, I thought I would try the longer version in a petite size. The pants fit great, just like the cropped style. After walking around a bit, I begin to feel pulling across my thigh as I walked. I looked closer and there is a seam going across the legs of this style all the way around. I didn't notice it when I ordered the pant, but now looking at the site, if you enlarge the picture you can see the seam. Not sure what purpose this seam serves, except to just irritate my thigh. I am really disappointed but these pants have to go back.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice! Going by the size chart, these run large. For reference: I'm 5'6" tall, 124 pounds, my hips measure 38 inches, and my waist is 27 inches. According to the size chart, I'd wear a small, so I ordered the small. It was WAY too big! I exchanged for the extra small and they are perfect with plenty of room to move around -- not even remotely tight. The pants (in the right size) are really flattering and seem durable, despite being really lightweight and breathable. I love the drawstring cuffs and stretchy material. The grey was exactly like the image on the website. They're great -- I may buy more colors, which is not something I normally do...

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality Though these pants are comfortable and I like the look of them, they PILL TERRIBLY. Had I known that I would NOT have purchased them. I bought three pair of these pants (at regular price) for myself, a pair for my husband, and a pair for my son. Speaking forr those I purchased for myself, the quality is not what I would have expected from LLBean. I have, for several years, bought almost 100% of my clothing from LLBean but I will now be very careful about making further purchases. I never thought LLBean would go the way of many other clothing manufacturers and produce clothing that is less than excellent.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wish they still made the lined version These pants are okay. I bought three colors. I intended to use them for travel, because they wash and dry easily, and have lots of pockets. Although I like these pants, for me, they aren't warm enough when the weather is cooler, and they aren't cool enough when the weather is hot. I also bought the lined version of these pants and am regretting that I didn't buy more because they are perfect for spring and fall, and I find I use them frequently. Unfortunately, it appears LL Bean no longer makes the lined version. I hope they bring them back for the fall season, because I want to order two or three more of item 502841.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love These Pants, but... I've had these pants since last August and wear them all the time. They're perfect for lounging, walking the dog, or running errands. I love the drawstring hem and the pockets are useful (although the buttons on the cargo pockets are hard to open; I would prefer zippers). I always pack a pair of these when I travel to change into at the end of the day. They're great for sneaking down for coffee in the morning at the hotel and I've even slept in them to keep warm in the field. The only issue I have with these is that they're really starting to pill, which sacrifices their clean look. Bean, if your textile supplier can work on that, these would be perfect!

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these pants!! I should probably be embarrassed. But I’m not. I own seven pairs of these pants!!! One in every color plus two in my favorite color (an earthy muted orange). I’m retired and spend a lot of time hiking in and around Great Smoky Mountains National Park. These pants are soft, flexible and yet resilient. Plus, they have bunches of pockets! Because my community is outdoors oriented, I can wear them to restaurants as well! The material is thin (but tough), making them almost three season pants for my location in western North Carolina. Love these pants!! Please don’t stop making them!!! BTW, they do run big, so order one size smaller.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great style & color but not for in the woods I have these in several colors, in this order added raisin -- brown with deep red-violet tones. These are great pants but over the years the fabric has gotten further and further away (boo hiss) from real ripstop, the kind of stuff you can wear in the woods without getting snags in the fabric. But for running errands, travelling, and casual socializing, these are great. HEY BEAN, how about making some woodsy pants, with lots of pockets similar to those that these pants have, made of real ripstop fabric for us outdoor folks. My ripstop wind/rain pants repel snags in the woods but they do not have pockets... thanks!

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect, but.... These pants feel like jammie bottoms, but are somehow flattering. I am 5'6" tall and weigh 125. I was afraid the regulars would be too short to wear with the ankles cinched, so ordered a tall. Not necessary. The regular extra small fits perfectly. The problem is with the elastic in the cuffs. The elastic in the waist band is smooth and of high quality. The elastic in the cuffs is different - not smooth and catches EVERY TIME on the velcro closer on my sandals. I've not had the pants long and the elastic in the cuffs is already a mess. Ll Bean chose to cut corners on the cuff elastic with unhappy results for an otherwise great design.
