Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waterproof and warm I wore this coat on a three week vacation to the Baltics. We had temperature ranges from 40 to 70. This coat kept me warm and dry through cool, wet, windy weather. When it was warmer I could remove the liner and still be comfortable. The hood was convenient when it started to rain so I didn't have to carry an umbrella. It kept me dry no matter the temperature. I liked that I could adjust the waist. I usually wear a 14, but ordered an XL so I could put extra layers on underneath. The only complaint would be I wish the pockets had zippers. This coat was perfect for traveling when the temperature have such a wide range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little jacket I purchased this jacket because I was tired of juggling tote, laptop bag, lunch bag, and an umbrella on rainy days, getting wet all the same. With this jacket I just flip on the hood (over my BIG curly hair) before leaving my car, walk to the vanpool with my usual pack-mule bags, and flip the hood off once I'm inside. And when it's not raining on the ride home, the jacket rolls very nicely into my tote bag. Less weight than my wallet! The jacket is cut very generous. I'm very large busted, the XL fits comfortably over a mid-weight fleece jacket. The orchid color is beautiful, different, but not screaming.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from issues with zipper I bought this coat to replace another LLBean raincoat that I had for a few years. The older coat was being replaced due to difficulties with the zipper. It reached the point where I was unable to zip it at all and had to wear the coat opened or only use the snaps. When I tried this new one on, I loved how it looked but again, it took several attempts to get it zipped. I kept trying to zip it even after taking it off (thinking I was doing something wrong), but it zipped properly only once for every 7-8 attempts. This is going to drive me crazy, especially since I am usually rushed to get out the door and wouldn't have the time to deal with this. Unfortunately, this is going back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from disappointed with changes I am disappointed in the "new and improved" jacket - there are no closures on the pockets and no wool lining option. And the new lining doesn't go into the sleeves anymore. I used to recommend this jacket to everyone, but I can no longer do so. I have a full length H2Off coat and a jacket that have served me well for many, many years. The jacket has been all over the world and held up amazingly well under a variety of weather conditions from extreme heat and humidity to cold. Please go back to the things that made this jacket so useful for travel and my go-to jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Flap in back I like the jacket. I do not like the little flap in the back. Would of been nicer to have it flat across the back. It kind of sticks out. Like the zip inside pocket to keep my phone dry or key for falling out as the front pockets do not close. Hood would of liked to be able to detach or roll up if not in use. They run a little big. As I ordered a small and returned it. If you like to have lots of bulky sweaters or layers then a sm would of worked. I haven't used it in rain yet. But I feel it will work and keep me mostly dry. Wish a little deeper, true red then more on lighter side. Still a nice color. Happy you didn't put your logo on the outside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All-purpose classic rain coat It works great as a raincoat--doesn't feel completely plastic-y or loud, and it has a classic look for when I need to be out doing an errand and don't want to worry about how dressed up to be. The khaki color is better in person--a clean, sand-colored khaki, like the classic trench coat. Very pretty, and it will coordinate well with other colors from spring into autumn. Ordered up to a large to make sure I can fit a sweatshirt or extra layer under, and it doesn't feel like I'm swimming in it. But I do not like wearing tight coats. A Primaloft-insulated rain coat is a great idea. Thank you LL Bean!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for fall trip to Iceland I LOVED this jacket which I purchased in the lovely rose color to wear to Iceland. When we arrived, it was pouring rain and it withstood the weather perfectly. Later, the wind was blowing very hard and it kept me protected and warm. The weather never got below freezing, but with the wind and rain it was cold. I felt very snuggly in the coat. It was long enough to keep my hips covered. The sleeves were a little long and hard to hem with snaps and pleat, but could hem them up enough to work. That was the only problem with the coat. It was a Petite, too. I look forward to wearing it more this fall and winter. Thank you LLBean for a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PERFECT FOR THE NEW WET CLIMATE DOWN HERE IN NC IT SEEMS TO RAIN MORE EVERY YEAR DURING ALL SEASONS. THIS JACKET IS PERFECT! THE WATER FALLS RIGHT OFF AND THE HOOD HAS A NICE LITTLE VISOR TO KEEP THE RAIN OFF THE GLASSES. THE LINING ADDS A BIT OF WARMTH BUT DOESN'T MAKE IT A WINTER PARKA. WILL KEEP YOU WARM IN THE LOW 50'S....MAYBE UPPER 40'S. THEN IN THE WARMER MONTHS YOU CAN STILL USE IT BY JUST UNZIPPING THE LINER. EASY AND VERY EFFECTIVE. THE FIT IS TRUE BUT FOR REALLY BULKY THINGS IT'S JUST A TAD SNUG. WITH THE LINING YOU DON'T NEED A BULKY SWEATER UNDER IT. VERY COMFORTABLE AND THE SLEEVES ARE LONG ENOUGH TO KEEP THE RAIN OFF YOUR ARM. PRICEY....BUT VERY WELL MADE RAIN COAT.
