    Why We Love It
After more than two years, more than 75 testers and a close partnership with flannel experts at our mill in Portugal, we developed an exclusive process that removes fibers from the surface of the fabric to create a remarkably soft and velvety finish. The result is the most pill-resistant flannel sheets we've ever tested, unmatched in comfort and durability.
    Fabric & Care
    • 100% brushed cotton flannel.
    • Tested for harmful substances to the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® Certification (137 CITEVE).
    • Some lint buildup in the dryer screen is a natural result of brushed flannel construction and should decrease with each washing.
    Additional Features
    • Woven in Portugal exclusively for L.L.Bean.
    • Resists shrinking, fading and pilling.
    • Gets even softer with every wash.
    • Comfortable weight for year-round use.
    • Price shown is for fitted sheet only.
Ultrasoft Comfort Flannel Sheet, Fitted is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 884.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sheets thin, not fluffy When downsizing over the past five years, I bought sets of these sheets for my kids and for myself. It seems that the quality declined from each purchase to the next. The sheets I received just now are so thin that when I hold them at arms' length facing a window across a room I can see the silhouettes of flower pots on the window sill (I did this as a rough test since I could not believe how thin the sheets felt). After two nights the losely woven fabric had already stretched at the place when one's body is for most of the night. The same sheets, now 3 and 5 year-old, appear thicker and fluffier than the new ones. (I do not put them in a dryer.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality sheet I like this sheet. Perfect fit for my 12 inch mattress, soft, and seems to be of high quality. I must admit that I chose this sheet because the highest quality Heritage chamois flannel is unavailable except as a set. Since the Comfort Flannel is sold as single sheets, I reluctantly went with this purchase. I think llbean has the best quality sheets on the market, but to only provide sheets for purchase in sets is short-sighted and not in line with customers' needs. Who knows how many customers search alternative merchants when looking for single high quality sheets. There is a difference in thickness and softness compared to the Heritage chamois.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great balls of lint and fluff! I ordered these sheets for the lake. the weight is good for cooler nights. after 2-3 nights I started to notice that they were molting. I don't mean dropping a few lint balls, but a full-on molt was going on! there were balls of fluff EVERYWHERE! in the blankets, on the pillows, on the floor (really- it was covered!) I even had to snicker when looking at my husband's whiskers- also packed with green lint every morning! I had washed them and dried them twice before putting them on the bed but wow....didn't help at all. finally I washed them 3 more times and i'm hoping that clears up the problem. otherwise they are a good fit and very comfy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Substandard Quality... I have bought flannel sheets from LLBean for years and loved them! I put them on every bed in the house when November came around. I recently purchased new sheets to go with my newly redecorated bedroom. Sadly this recent purchase was not up to their usual standards and after only 2 laundry cycles the white fitted flannel sheet is pilling and I can see thin patches when I hold it up to the light. I am very disappointed to say the least. My previous purchases of these sheets lasted 10 years with weekly washing. I will be lucky if this current set makes it through 10 laundry cycles. Very sorry that the quality has decreased so much and I will be searching elsewhere for sheets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pertect sheets for bed that incline and recline. We own a temperdic bed that inclines so we must purchase extra long twin fitted sheets and large king or California king flat sheets. This is not easy to do unless we spend a small fortune for sheets. Well, these sheets are wonderful. They fit our thick matress and are easy to get on and off. They have not pilled and stay on the corners after a few washes. They did not shrink either. After testing them I purchased the window paine king which is also large enough after several washes. The standare pilllow cases still fit our queen pillows also. We live in FL and the bottom sheets are too warm on our foam mattress without the air on in warm weather.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Colors on website are inaccurate I don't know how long I've been dark brown/khaki blind but I'm glad LL Bean brought this to my attention. I saw the Driftwood sheet and thought it would look good with my dark brown sheets. To my surprise, a khaki colored sheet came. I ordered/exchanged two more sheets via the mail until I got a handwritten note with the third sheet saying the khaki colored sheet was indeed Driftwood. LL Bean seems convinced the picture on the website is fine so the only logical conclusion I can draw is that I am dark brown/khaki blind. Before you order Driftwood, please check if you're dark brown/khaki blind. I'd hate to see someone with the same disability make this silly mistake also.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pilling like crazy We received a gift certificate for our wedding. Excited to find just the right thing from LL Bean, assuming good to excellent quality was a given. We ordered two king size fitted flannel sheets in the Natural color. In no time at all they started pilling like crazy. So disappointed. Given the price tag I was expecting that we would be using these sheets for years to come. The first time we used them we were so pleased with their comfort, that quickly disappeared. It is not easy to take a picture of a king size sheet to show all the pilling, but I tried. I can't recommend these sheets. : (

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pocket depth is too small I bought a brand new queen size mattress from Serta and ordered these sheets to go with it. The fitted sheet is good quality but it's too small. The pocket depth is almost exactly the same as my mattress and the elastic doesn't fully go underneath the corners. My mattress is a normal one, not a pillow top, and it doesn't seem like a particularly deep mattress, so this came as a surprise. LL Bean needs to recognize that mattress depths for new mattresses are larger than in the past and increase the pocket depth by adding an additional 3" to these sheets.
