Rated 2 out of 5 by EJoeC from Not like the older version, feel cheap I have two older carefree t-shirts bought a year or so ago. They fit well, did not shrink, and the fabric was substantial. They were worth the money I paid for them. I wanted two more, so ordered them recently. Received the new shirts and given them a fair trial, and am disappointed. The fit is comfortable, but what appears to be a new fabric choice is much, much thinner than used in the previous shirts. They feel cheap, and I find it hard to imagine paying $28 for one (I bought mine with a coupon, so I paid half price). Even at half price, I would be looking for something with a better fabric.

Rated 5 out of 5 by OldPogueBourbon from Love these shirts Not including socks, undershirts and underpants I own approximately 70 articles of clothing. Of those 13 are LL Bean pants and 42 are LL Bean Shirts plus some LL Bean vests (2), sweaters (4), belts (2), etc. sprinkled in. I've been buying from LL Bean for as long as I can remember. Needless to say their products are exceptional. Not only do they fit me well but they seemingly never wear out. I have one short sleeve polo that is starting to look a little rugged. I checked my records and realized that it is over 10 years old and has been worn and washed at least once a week in the summer since its purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by PRWA from Better Options I have a ten year history purchasing this item and the change in quality is not good. Yes, it looks great but when I take an older version of the same shirt out of the drawer and compare it with the current version I see and feel a big difference in weight, strenght and durability. On this specific purchase, I can easily see light through the fabric. And many of the more recent purchases show more wear than the older purchases. I have recently purchased this type of shirt from other vendors for less money and better quality. In summary, this item is fine for casual wear but don't expect anything beyond that despite the price. In this case you don't get what you paid for!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Pooneil from Nice shirt with a odd diagonal to the pattern I bought three of these henley shirts for fall wear. The one in indigo heater color has an odd diagonal to the pattern. It is just slightly off the horizontal raising the question of whether it was a deliberate fashion choice or a manufacturing mistake. An inspection of the online image appears to show a straight horizontal pattern leading me to the conclusion the shirt was badly made. Whatever the intent, it doesn't work for me, which is a shame because I prefer shirts with some pattern rather than the straight mono color found on the other henly's I bought from LL Bean at the same time. Nevertheless, those other henly's appear to be good quality shirts with rich colors and I am happy with them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Umps from Great shirt, But!!!!!!!! I really like the shirt. I now have 8+. The shirt is 100% Cotton. The one thing that I dislike about the shirt is holds sweat inside of the shirft. This is very uncomfortable. Being in Texas you do sweat in the summer. I have to change the shirts all the time. I gave it a 5 Star rating because I do like the shirt but would have to give it a 2 Star because of keeping the sweat inside of the shirt. I would have to tell friends I like shirt but do not like the sweat remaining on the inside of the shirt. Could not use shirt going to gym or fishing. Do not know if I would buy anymore.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 95B40 from Disappointing I'm a long time LLBean customer. I've been buying these Henley T-shirts for a long time. I've noticed the weight of the fabric has been getting progressively thinner. I have these Henleys that have been worn for 5 or 6 years and been washed countless times, the fabric is thicker than these. If you want a very light weight Henley this is it. I've noticed the quality of other shirts declining as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by colorchoices from wish their were more color options My husband has worn the long sleeved henley for years and loves them. The shirts are well made, nice fabric, but in XL Tall, his size I find the choice of colors are very limited. We end up with the standard gray and navy, but the reds, greens and blues tend to be very primary and seem designed for a 5-10 year old. Way to bright and bold and black and white - are always available but not very interesting. In the past I have been able to get some maroon or burgundy shades of red, a lovely heathered brown and some subdued greens that were quite nice. I wish your offerings were more varied and available for a longer period of time. Otherwise we will keep wearing gray and navy. The heathered green I just ordered is beautiful and will order another before they are gone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jesse from Silver Birch is not white I’ve been buying these and the short sleeves for years - in white. Why oh why LLBean did you decide Silver Birch was a good substitute for white? I went ahead and bought several of the Silver Birch and they just look like dingy white T’s that have been thrown in the washer with the jeans. These are still excellent t-shirts but not happy with the lack of pure white.
