    It’s not easy to make a classic even better, but we did. First, we added a touch of stretch to traditional cotton and washed it for exceptional softness and ease. Then, we added a full elastic waistband for comfort worthy of lounging and style ready for any occasion.

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK but not what I expected the fabric on the waist band is so thick and stiff that it's difficult to tie tight enough to feel comfortable. I've washed them and it didn't make a difference. They were also a LOT longer than the sizing said on the chart. I've had to hem them so they're ok, but I would not order them again nor would I recommend them either. Just an average pair of pants from LL Bean where everything is always outstanding. This was not up to LL Bean standards.
