Men's BeanFlex® Canvas Cargo Pants, Standard Fit is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good, Not Quite Perfect A nice garment, and I would (probably) repeat. The stretch is mild, but I would suggest NOT ordering next size up, would probably be TOO stretchy. Other reviews will mention, and I STRONGLY agree, front pockets much too shallow. These are cargos, and that implies an interest in carrying stuff. (I've encountered this shortcoming in other, but not all, Bean trousers.) As for the cargo pockets themselves, nice space and true bellows. The loop closure is convenient, BUT it feels like it will be the first point of failure in these otherwise sturdy pants. No means of securing either back pocket. I'd rate them for light to medium duty, definitely not heavy duty.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed The Cargo Pants were one of the very, very few items that I ever purchased from L. L. Bean that disappointed me and that I felt that I had to send back. The fit and quality were good. It had one major problem!!! The front side pockets were too small. They held very little. Plus, even my small wallet would have likely fallen out, if I used either front pocket to hold it. I think most Cargo pants should contain larger pockets - bigger than regular pants. L. L. Bean Chino's I believe have much larger front pockets. They are more practical and useful. You need to redesign these Cargo Pants.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointment Regrettably, these pants were a big disappointment. The fabric is thinner than expected, unlikely to last very long. The sewing of the button at the waist began to unravel immediately. Though the size is "standard fit," the pants are too snug on my thighs and legs, even though my children call me "chicken legs" because my thighs and legs are thin. I would have returned them after a few days' wear, but I saw that there's already a small stain. I wish I could buy pants equal to my old pair of Bean cargo pants: heavier but not stiff fabric, no spandex; my only gripe about them was the velcro closures.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Plumbers crack Not sure why, but a lot of pants these days are being cut very low in the back, so that if you bend over even a little, it shows that crack of your butt. LL Bean isn't the only company that is doing this, but it's really starting to annoy me. The rise in the back is too low. I ordered another pair of Alagash cargoes and they fit fine. The rise in the back was perfect. If it wasn't for the rise in the back, the pants would be great. Well made and everything else fits fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most comfortable Cargo pants I have owned cargo pants by other manufacturers, including the tropic weight LL Bean cargo pants. These are by far the most comfortable cargo pants ever. My wife makes comments about how well these Beanflex pants fit me and wishes she could get this design for women. She also loves to see me wear the Beanflex jeans in the same size of which I have 10 pairs ( 2 each in each color). She states they don't make me look my age (75 years). I bought the Carbon Navy color (2 pair) and am looking at what other color I may want.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice update to Cargo pants These pant are a nice update to some of the other cargos Bean sells. The fabric is quite soft, but still has the durable feeling of canvas. I love the less bulky cargo pockets; they don't feel so obtrusive on my leg. Great fit from waist down. I am already eyeing a second pair!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not quite as expected. The pockets are a little too shallow. I keep my wallet in a rear pocket and another half-inch of depth would be nice. Side pockets are also shallow. The leg pockets are fastened with a loop and button arrangement that seems to require two hands to unfasten. I like two buttons. But the main reason that I can't recommend these pants is that there are only five belt loops (one is a double) and that's not enough for a forty-inch waist. There should be seven.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product Don't be put off by the fabric description of 'canvas'. It is a good, soft, pliable material that makes for a very comfortable pant. The only thing I have against the pant is that the cargo pockets are just a tad short, so I can't fasten the top of the pocket over my cell phone in its protective case. I will order one or two more pairs just as I finish this review.
