Men's Mountain Classic Down Hooded Jacket, Sherpa-Lined is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 186.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Here's my review and test I bought this coat looking for a mid-weight cold-weather coat with sherpa lining, down fill and an attached hood. This one checked all the boxes, so here is my review: PROS: -DownTek (read up on it…great stuff!) -Premium materials throughout -Flawless assembly workmanship -Comfortable lined outer pockets -Outer vest pocket suitable for phones -Water resistant shell and a fine wind break -Warm (See test results below) -I like the adobe! CONS: -Needs an inside pocket (come on, this is a $200 coat!!!) -Cuffs are made of same material as the shell. A bit rough. Why not soft knit? -Value is questionable at this price point. Test #1: 35 degrees F, no wind, sunny, 1.5 Mile dog walk. Wearing only short sleeve t-shirt under the coat, I had to unzip the jacket and drop the hood to release heat build-up. Test #2: 26 degrees F. windy, sunny, same dog same walk. Wearing only short sleeve t-shirt under the coat. Stayed warm and appreciated the windbreak. Windchill was in the teens. Test #3: 22 degrees F. Light winds, sunny, same dog same walk. This was the point where the coat became uncomfortable wearing just a short sleeve t-shirt under the coat. Arms were cold (no Sherpa there), I could feel cold seeping in. I added a thin fleece long-sleeve shirt and was warm once again. I think the layer bought another 5 degrees of outside temperature. Clearly, layering (maybe some wool) will improve performance of the coat, but I think you will hit the wall when temps are in the teens or below. You’ll reach for something heavier, like a mountain parka. I hope this helps you decide on this item. It’s a 4-star coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Jacket This is easily one of the warmest and most comfortable jackets I’ve ever worn. It handles rain and snow well while still being warm. The sherpa lining is great and everything about the jacket feels very durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice mid-weight down jacket Purchased a large. Fits ideally in the waste, sleeves and shoulders. I am 5'11" 195lbs athletic and want to purchase the other colors but they are backordered so decided not to. I have worn for a month, been in light rain and it repels fine but in heavy rain no way! It will get soaked. The warmth is really great. There is no sherpa lining in the arms but that does not seem to matter but I have only been in temp's down to 40F'ish and I wear a long sleave shirt mid-weight. Warmth is great. the pockets are more than ample although no internal pocket that doesn't bother me. Hood is ample too. Can wear a beanie with no issue. I like the elastic wrist cuffs. They trap the heat so no appreciable leakage there. Suspect it will keep you warm likely down into the 30's maybe slightly lower, my guess, no actual empirical proof on that. Net is I really like this jacket!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent coat Excellent coat, it is extremely warm and generous in sizing. The color is a really nice muted Autumn orange. I purchased it for my 15 year old. He is 5’6” 115lbs, a men’s medium is a little loose on him but a small would have been too small. It’s well made, my son likes it a lot, especially the color as it’s different from anyone else’s coat at school. Keeps the wind out. Perfect for Michigan winters.
