Men's Organic Cotton Sweater, Quarter Zip is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 116.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just About the Perfect Sweater These are really nice sweaters with a classic look. The fit is true to size and the colors are deep and rich. These are warmer sweaters for colder days & nights that I wear over a long sleeve base layer (like a cotton or synthetic mock t shirt). The fit is non-restrictive and presents a nice silhouette and if you run into a wind chill you can zip up the collar to block it out (under your coat, of course). The dark cinder color is especially nice and actually warmer than shown on the product photos-- it's a mix of a walnut brown and black that looks upscale and classy. So get yourself a bunch of them to wear for different activities like I have!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and heavy-weight but not hot This is a beautiful sweater. It is heavy (weight) but it breathes well. I haven't worn it in "warmish" weather yet, but it does a good job of keeping out the cold, especially when wearing it with a flannel shirt. The color is perfect. You can wear it with khakis or any shade of blue jeans from dark to very worn-looking. I have some blackish-gray LL Bean jeans that it looks great with. I've only worn it a few times, so I can't speak to longevity, nor have I had to launder it yet. I'm not happy having to lay flat to dry because there's no convenient place in my house to do that. Actually, I think I'll change clothes right now and wear it tonight.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice sweater, but enormous! Very cozy and soft sweater. Well-made. My husband has always worn a size L due to his athletic build and big shoulders. This sweater is way too big. Returning for a size M. Surprising.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from High quality sweater I purchased this sweater for my husband for Christmas. He's 6'1" and about 165lbs with a long torso, and I purchased a medium tall. The material of this sweater is unexpectedly gorgeous. It looks gray online, but when you look at it up close you can see that it's actually a marled blend of tan, taupe and blue that combines to form gray. It's thick and warm for cotton, and it washes well. Typical LL Bean quality, which is to say, excellent. The only problem is with the sizing, which is really large. It's not atypical for LL Bean, but LL Bean doesn't offer a small tall option, so I couldn't really size down. My husband is thin but not overly so, and this sweater is wide and bulky through the waist on him. The shoulders and arms fit fine, and the length was great, but the mid section looks like it was made for someone who weighs at least 20lbs more than he does. It puffs out at the waist in an unflattering way - I imagine guys with a bit of a belly or a "spare tire" frame will appreciate the extra room, but since my husband is on the leaner side, it doesn't flatter him at all. He doesn't like slim or tight-fitting clothes, for the record, and would never wear something constricting for the sake of fashion. This sweater just has easily four inches of extra fabric on either side on his frame, and it makes the sweater frumpier than it had potential to me. All that to say, this is a lovely sweater that's well made with beautiful yarn, that really isn't flattering on a man with a slimmer build. LL Bean, can you please consider offering some of your men's shirts in a small tall size?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Loose weave Because of the shag style, the sweater is loose and baggy. It “grows” longer because of the weight and style. Good looking but is not fitted. Would be great for very cold weather.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Weight and Fit I would typically order XXL tall but I wanted a sweater I could wear under a jacket and this fits the bill. Went through one wash so far with no change in fit. Sleeves could be a bit longer, but they are not too short. I am encouraged to buy another one of these in a different color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sweater for the price Not much to say except that is a great value for the price. This is the third sweater of this type that I have bought. It is perfect during the winter to wear at work since our office is slightly cool. N.B. I bought a large tall, but there is no selection for this in the review form.
