    Why We Love It
We designed our rugged lined shirt jac (or shacket) with a touch of stretch that makes it easy to move in. We've helped break it in with a special washing process that softens the canvas without compromising durability, so it will feel like an old favorite right away. Loaded with great design details, from the multiple pockets to the durable rivets to the triple-needle stitching details.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough and comfortable I wear this when I'm working in the field or on the tractor. It's tough enough that I'm not going to rip it when I'm hoisting (and struggling way too much, now that I'm old,) a fence post over my shoulder or crawling under the tractor. It's comfortable and warm enough to serve as a jacket down to about 55 degrees. When it's clean, my wife lets me wear it in public!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Slim I was really looking forward to wearing this jacket but the fit is way off. I am 6'1" and 185lbs. I wear a 40R jacket and have a 32 inch waist. I prefer my clothes to fit more slim so I was really disappointed when this showed up. The fit is square not slim, meaning there is absolutely no taper from the armpits to the waist. This is extremely annoying as the material is very nice and the jacket looks great. Maybe LL Bean needs to rename this as relaxed fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Signature lined canvas shirt jacket men's I bought this coat primarily because it was mostly cotton both inside and out. It is increasingly difficult to find cotton clothing as most people want to sell you polyester. The coat is quite comfortable and cotton soft on the inside yet the canvas exterior seems fairly resilient and the stitching is well done. The four pockets in front seemed excessive at first but I have found myself using all of them. Left and right lower for gloves top ones for hat and cellphone. LLBean makes good quality products and this is no exception. Very satisfied and would recommend to others.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great look and feel The shirt tails at first bothered me but I got to appreciate the access to my pants pockets. The pockets are too small for your cell phone. Great outdoor work jacket.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wanted to love this I was eyeing this jacket last season and when they released in olive this year, I pulled the trigger. I wanted to love this item but it just falls short, literally. The fabric is great and the stretch is a nice touch. But the body of the garment is too short/boxy and it tents out from the midsection which stands in contrast to the fitted look in the rest of the garment. Might be good for someone with a little more weight in the middle. It's a bummer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Look. Good fabric. Comfortable I really love the look and feel of this jacket. I am in rural Texas and it is perfect for our mild winter. I gave it a three star because the Large fits like an XL, or at least in my opinion. If you like the loose fit, order your normal size. Otherwise, I would order a size down. I am ordering a M and sending this beautiful L back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Been cost reduced at the expense of quality Just received this Canvas Shirt/Jacket. Compared to the 15 yr old same product- Canvas and Flannel material is lighter fabric and will wear and tear more quickly. Snaps are lesser quality and will fail easily compared to older circumferential full interface snaps. Top pocket is not riveted, just the standalone flap is so the pocket corner stitching will tear. The top pocket is not as deep so a Max Iphone sticks out almost 2". The wrist snap has only one location, older had two for tighter or looser fit. Only the back top panel is triple stitched where as the older design the entire back yolk and shoulder sleeve connection was triple stitched. The lower pockets are not attractive and I suspect people will find they will catch on things when working outside with this garment. The fit and comfort are fine. Bottom line, this Canvas Shirt/Jacket was cost reduced to the point of an unacceptable garment with a price of $129. I am returning the Item tomorrow.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not worth money I really like the styling and original color. saddle. Wish the outer canvas was heavier, lets wind through. Color fads quickly. Snaps are not up to LL Beans standard, especially on Signature. Please bring back snaps you used 1990's to 2000. Would not buy again at this price point.
