Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fits well but feels plastic and tore easily I was really looking forward to wearing this jacket. It fit my relatively petite, narrow shouldered curvy figure well and seemed like it would work out despite feeling rather plastic and not as breathable as I wanted. However, the first time I tried wearing it, the fabric tore under normal usage, not even doing anything athletic. It must have rubbed on something because i found a feather later then realized there was a 1-2" gash near the bottom of the sleeve. Since this was supposed to be a reasonably rugged jacket for every day wear, I am returning it rather than getting a replacement. I don't want to tiptoe around in it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Newest version lost a pocket! It's a nice jacket, and I'll keep it, but I was very, very disappointed to find that, unlike the original version (which i also own), it has only one interior pocket instead of 2. The thing that distinguished it from other lightweight puffies, and made it so valuable to me, was having one zip pocket for the phone, and a separate one for keys and wallet--so unzipping one didn't risk other contents falling out. I was delighted with the original design--I thought: "Aha! At last a designer understands how much women need zip pockets in their clothing." But alas....it is gone in the new design. Why, why, why?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect jacket! I bought the XS-Petite in light rosewood, and it fits just right. I can fit a light sweater under and still not feel bulky at all. The color is more coppery than the pink I expected, but it's lovely. I was trying to get away from the ubiquitous black of winterwear. I'm very happy with this purchase. I needed a very warm jacket that was smaller and handier than my long (black) winter coat. The true test will be how warm this jacket is in low temperatures. My current light jackets are not warm enough below 50-60 degrees for me, which is why I wanted to try this one. I hope it keeps me warm down to 30 degrees or so. Chicago winter, bring it on.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stitch lines came undone -- Twice! I am very disappointed in this product. Expected better quality, especially at this high price point. Ordered it last Thanksgiving and noticed during the holidays that one of the stitch lines that holds the down in place started falling and then pulling out. Before long, a section of the lined stitching was missing. After the holidays, I exhanged it (around Feb). Then, the new one had a stitch line start to loosen and pull out. It was in a different place. Both times the problem was visible when I wore the coat. Still wearing the second coat and disappointed everything I see the missing stitch line and thread hanging. Can't believe it happened twice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most Universal Jacket Ever! This jacket is the most versatile jacket I have ever had -- I have worn in while walking to class, hiking, and everything in between. I have been caught in the rain in this coat and it stays dry enough in comparison to other insulated jackets. Perfect for the fall to winter transition. I love the grey color because it matches with everything. I am very petite, the coat is a good fit but I can still layer it over a hoodie so it's not too snug, which is great. It cinches at the bottom which keeps the cold out, and it's great to travel with because it packs to such a small size. Such a good value! - Malu, L.L.Bean Student Ambassador

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable I saw these light weight sweater jackets on sale a few weeks ago and purchased 30 of them for our staff. I purchased sizes small to 2 X. I had our company logo put on them locally. As you can see our staff looks soooooo professional and the girls love them. No problem getting the staff to wear them every day. They are definitely comfortable, arms have adequate room to flex when staff is loading equipment in and out of our company cars each day. While these sweater jackets are light, they definitely are warm as indicated in description of product. About a third of our staff wished the jacket had a 2 way zipper. Much more comfortable while driving. Thank you LL Bean for another great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The little down jacket of my dreams Although the name "down sweater" sounds strange to me, this is exactly what I was looking for. And I liked it so much, after a couple of weeks of wearing it, I bought another in a different color. The beauty of this garment is its layering ability. You can wear it with a down vest underneath and you're nice and warm and you don't look like the Michelin Man. You can wear it as an extra-warm layer under a winter coat. If you need to carry it 'just in case,' it squishes down to an amazingly small size, there if you need it, without hogging all the space in your bag. It's just what I wanted, very high quality materials and construction, and I love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A down jacket that actually looks trim. I bought this to replace the L.L.Bean "sweater" I had for several years and then lost. The name "sweater" seemed weird for a down jacket, but was nice a lightweight. They called this one a sweater-jacket and it was heavier than my original one. I was disappointed that it wasn't lighter because the other one hadbeen a good fall transition jacket. This one isn't much lighter that my Bean down jacket. But aside from that it is great. It's better looking that the lighter one was and I appreciate the fact they have it in petite. I finally have a jacket that has sleeves that don't go halfway down my hand. The closer stitching keeps it from making me look fat.
