Women's Mountain Classic Insulated Anorak is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 80.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from insulation leaks! I love the idea of this insulated anorak, and it really filled a gap in my outerwear collection. However . . . as others have noted in their reviews of both the solid color and colorblock insulated anoraks, the insulation leaks out in little white balls all up and down the sleeves and sides. It looks awful! I'm not sure why some reviewers have noticed this and others haven't. Maybe some anoraks were manufactured with different materials, in different places, at different times. In any case, I have a couple of these and sadly have to send them back. LLBean, please redo this great anorak with attention to this manufacturing flaw!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice lightweight anorak I tried both the M and L, and kept the M. I find it easy to pull on. The fit is long and not overly boxy. The shoulders/arms are aligned so that I have full movement. The length is enough to give me coverage while moving about in snow. It is lightweight but warm enough for activities like snowshoeing or skiing. The insulation is a very nice quilted fabric that doesn't stick to my clothes. Love the large front pocket and the additional zippered pocket to secure items. The hood comes around my face and will provide good protection from wind. The little leather tabs provide a tiny bit of style. Less boxy than the Katahdin pullover.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best jacket ever I received this jacket as a birthday gift (January birthday) a couple of years ago and it is still one of my most worn jackets. I cannot stress how amazing this jacket is. When I wear it no wind or rain can penetrate through. I've been fine on the tops of mountains while my friends have been freezing. I try to convince everyone that they too need this jacket because it is a life saver. I bought small yet it is a little big which is okay because I can wear a layer underneath if needed. I liked this so much I have ordered the classic non-insulated version and I am going to buy my boyfriend one too because I am sick of him not having a real well-made wind breaker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE this Anorak -- Let me Count the Ways! First, let me expound on the great fit giving me full range of motion for walking, hiking, yard work, you name it, from the minute I pulled it on it was pure comfort, not too tight, not too big. Second, the warmth plus breathability is incredible - the insulation has kept me pleasantly warm on breezy 50*F days to frigid 15*F days. Third, the fitted hood. I love the way it fits, snug, but not too tight, really providing great protection from the wind and driving snow. Finally, I love the rugged material. I've pushed through bramble bushes, slipped in the mud, and rubbed up against you name it - and every time this jacket comes out of the washer and dryer looking like new. LOVE this Anorak --- Let me count the ways!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT Waterproof/Resistant I got this jacket for the PNW's fall/spring where we experience cool temps and lots of rain/drizzle. This jacket does an ok job of keeping you warm but it doesn't keep the water out at all. The biggest problems are along the seams, especially the shoulders. Even with a drizzle, when I take the jacket off, my shoulders are SOAKED, making it embarrassing to take off when I get to my destination. If the rain is heavier, the jacket will stay soggy even when hung overnight so it typically needs to go in the dryer after being out in the rain. I wanted to love this jacket so much but in the end feel like I just wasted a bunch of money...it's comfortable though, so there's that.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lost insulation I really loved this jacket but unfortunately, like other reviewers have mentioned, this jacket lost the insulation. Little white spots appeared especially around the armpits and arms, and ended up being the insulation coming out! I brought this back and exchanged it for a new one, but unfortunately the same thing happened to the second jacket. Super bummed, as this jacket was super cute and comfy and the perfect weight for lots of months in Minnesota.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, could be better This is an incredible product. It fits well, however if I could go back I'd get a Large. I bought one for me and my boyfriend for a recent trip we took. For two Florida kids, we stayed pretty cozy in the snow just wearing this and a single layer underneath. My only two complaints are this attracted static like crazy and the insulation within seemed to gather in little balls outside of the jacket. That last one is a complaint I saw in the reviews before I bought, so I was expecting that to an extent. I'd say it is still worth the buy just because of how well it worked keeping us warm, as well as how functional it was while climbing the mountains.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Partial review. First of all, this runs true to size if not a little roomy. I'm 5'4", 145 lbs, fit into a size M, but I prefer to wear a size up (L, for weight fluctuation). The size L is very big on me. Lots of room to layer with. Second, it's not that thick. It's about the equivalent of putting two good sweatshirts on. It's nothing like the one they sold 10+ years ago and I'm disappointed. It's currently the end of August so I can't tell you how it stands up to the cold weather. Time will tell. Third, is that I have no third, lol, but I hope this helps.
