Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wish it fit I first ordered a L Tall. Standing with my arms down it fit and looked great. As soon as I would move my arms to reach up or down the whole thing pulled tight. When this happened the arms would hike up about 3 inches along with the waist. Plus it would pull tight in the arm pits and around the chest. I then exchanged it for the XL Tall. I had the same result. It is very discouraging considering that these garments are intended to be active wear. If I were to use it to hike or snowboard the sleeves would be pulling out of my gloves which is not good. Maybe LL Bean will hire me for a test fit adviser so they can improve this:).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it but The older I’ve gotten the more I like layers when working outside and this pullover is great for this but the hood is so long I can’t see to my sides when I’m wearing it. If I’m walking the dog I need to stop and pull the hood back constantly so I can see side to side.its not just a little it’s about an inch past my eyes. Maybe if I was wearing a hat underneath it would be ok but who wears hats all the time? I know what you’re thinking, “This guy has a tiny head”- not true- my wife and my sister once had a debate if they would rather have $1,000. or my head full of nickels - it’s a pretty considerable noggin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new favorite jacket. This caught my attention because a pullover seemed nice and warm with the extra bonus of not having to work zippers with gloves on. The level of insulation is appropriate for activity without becoming too hot- the first time I wore it hiking I was in a snowstorm on a Catskills peak with wind gusts and felt perfectly warm. Of course, you need to layer properly, but I was able to regulate my temperature well by unzipping the jacket to vent it. After the hike it was pretty wet from snowfall and dried quickly. Very happy with this piece, and I look forward to wearing it up more peaks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect This is a perfect jacket. I love it so much that I bought a second one. I bought my first one about 3 years ago and it is my go-to jacket and is still holding up well. In the dead of winter it’s great to wear under a heavier jacket but in the spring and fall I wear it over a long sleeve or hoodie. I was sad when they stopped making these for a while but jumped on the opportunity to buy another. It’s lightweight and great for traveling. Perfect for early morning walks. I wear it skiing and also wear it under my hunting jacket. Would definitely recommend this jacket. Hoping LL Bean makes a version without the hood.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My go to hoodie Its my go to hoodie and I literally wear it every single day. It's lightweight but durable. You can fold it up into a pretty small package (wish it had it's own stow away pocket built in) so it's great for throwing in a bag for hiking. Pet hair does not stick to it and it glides freely under or over any other clothing. No binding. The hood fits perfectly. My only complaint is that it's a wee bit tight in the chest/armpit area. I'm 5'7" 170lbs, athletic build and a medium fits almost perfectly. .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most versatile jacket I have I love this coat. A lot warmer than expected and pretty water resistant though not “waterproof.” Here in Connecticut the temperature spends a lot of time around 40-50 degrees and this anorak is perfect. Love the little hidden zipper pocket for keys/phone on a hike. Breathable enough to be comfortable on cold weather hikes but I’d go with another jacket if you’re expecting heavy rain/snow. Only complaint is that it can be a little cumbersome on/off. It’d be nice to have a little zipper on the hem. It is taking some serious self control to not buy the fleece reversible full zip that just came out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Jacket, Terrible Tall Sizing If you’re over 6’2”, skip to the second portion of this review, because the good aspects don’t matter if the jacket doesn’t fit. The Good: High quality. This jacket is the perfect weight for chilly spring mornings/evenings. I love the design. The kangaroo pocket is a great feature. The half zip makes it easy to pull on and off. The Bad: The tall sizing is way off on this. The shoulder seams sit perfectly, but the sleeves barely hit my wrists. The body length barely covers my belt. If you’re anything over 6’2”, this jacket will not be long enough. Tall sizes from most major retailers fit me perfectly (e.g., EB, BR primarily), but this one literally falls short. I tried it on and my wife’s response was “Is that a Tall?!?” I haven’t had time to look in to returning it or exchanging for an XL, but overall I’m extremely disappointed with the sizing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fit wasn't as expected Didn't fit very well, very tight in the shoulders. Also not as thick as I thought it would be. Would have went a different route if I was in store for the purchase. Looked like a quality coat though. Won't mark it down 1 start because it didn't fit but I thought people should be aware if you have broad shoulders.
