Men's Lakewashed® Stretch Khakis, Standard Fit is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 117.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as the previous version I have 3 pairs of Lakewashed Khakis that have been my “go to” casual pants for the last two years. Since they were beginning to wear, I recently bought a new pair that now comes standard with 2% spandex. As another reviewer stated earlier, the quality has been diminished. The material is definitely thinner than previous versions and the additional stitching around the rear pockets that gave the Lakewashed pants their unique appearance has been removed. I would rather have seen LL Bean raise the price a few dollars and keep the quality instead of maintaining a price point by cheapening the product. Overall the fit is fine, but not sure I’ll purchase again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The BEST Bean Chinos thus far. I STRONGLY believe this Lakewash line (chino and shorts), are the BEST LLBean chinos thus far. Excellent price, top-quality and well-made fabric - a blend of cotton and synthetic. I'm VERY impressed with the workmanship as well. Compare to my $80 and $200 chinos, these chinos are up there with the rest. The fit is perfect and the weight is just right for warm/hot summer days. I really hope LLBean keep this line - the cut, the fabric, the price and the style as well. For me, I'm happy to throw these chinos on with a tee, a linen/cotton summer shirt, and my Birkenstock sandals. Easy breezy dressing that requires no thinking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Plastic khakis L.L. Bean, please make a normal pair of cotton khakis again and leave the Spandex and no-iron chemicals out of them. These pants were my first introduction to this awful stretch fabric that seems to be in almost everything now. I bought two pairs of them seeking to replace a few pairs of older khakis with flat fronts and no permanent crease. What a mistake! These pants have a horrible fit. They are too loose in the seat and too tight around the calf where they seems to have shrunk excessively. The fabric also feels strange and has a dull gloss look. It is easy to recognize that they are not cotton pants. These pants have put me buying anything with the "stretch" description the name.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not a spandex fan What's with the latest "stretch" craze?....marketed at overweight Americans no doubt. Whether it's spandex or elastane, the addition to cotton ruins the material, shortens it's life span, and makes it very susceptible to thread pulls (my cats' claws ruin my pants every time he jumps on my lap!)...not to mention it just feels funny (synthetic) Please bring back ALL cotton pants....especially miss your tropic weight which for some bizarre reason, is only available in silly "cargo" style, hardly fitting for "normal" dress with a sport coat, etc

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great improvement-LLBean listened! These pants are great - fit is perfect and the fabric is soft and comfortable from day one. I bought two previous pairs - one 5 years ago and the other 2 years ago. The 5-year purchase was great, but the pants I bought 2 years ago were not so good. The fabric content was changed to 100% cotton from 98% + 2% spandex. The new ones returned to the old formula with the spandex. It makes all the difference. When I was dissatisfied with the 2 years ago purchase, I emailed LL Bean to complain and made a recommendation. LL BEAN LISTENED! Thank you very much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A bit daring They're cut like jeans with jeans pockets, and they fit snug like jeans. If you're used to wearing chinos they take some getting used to. Real chinos have to be somewhat baggy because you'll split the seat if they're form-fitting. These pants have spandex so they can be snug without splitting. But they really look nice. I have the khaki, mineral gray, and Rangeley blue. The Rangeleys are much prettier than the photo: almost a slate blue with gray in it. Look very nice with a long sleeve black t-shirt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lakewashed Khakis The feel and look of these pants is superb. To respond to another reviewer's comments: I as well wore a pair of the standard fit corduroy during the winter months, and while I would agree that the cut on those pants are slimmer than these khakis, I love them both. I do not like the ultra-slim profile that most men's clothing seems to be adopting, and these pants are cut very nicely in the waist, seat, leg and cuff. To compare to another product, they are nearly identical in shape to the standard fit 1912 jeans I have. Because these are not "five-pocket" pants, the back pockets are situated inside the pant with a button closure (which is preferred on a casual chino), the fifth pocket remains inside the right-hand front pocket as a sort of coin catch (which is also preferred on a casual chino), and the front pockets are designed with a more natural opening compared to those commonly found on jeans. This is a great product and I am considering buying more in various colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect casual pants I've purchased seven pair since working from home. More comfortable than jeans. I get a 34 inseam and have cleaners roll the leg up and tack it to make a nifty cuff. Not dressy, but causes legs to look more creased. I do wish they came in a dark blue and black. I may have a pair dyed...that's how comfortable they are. Oh, I hate synthetic, so the 98% cotton feels great.
