Rated 5 out of 5 by Sandy from Let me count the ways I love this vest. I was in the Freeport store on a day when everything was 30 percent off, and splurged on this vest and the matching parka. Got them in bone, so they're gorgeous. They're both whisper light and surprisingly warm. Love the pockets - there are four on the vest - so I can shop and go to outdoor events without carrying a purse. The length is perfect, and the collar stays away from my face - a big bonus. The vest does run a little large - I moved down to an extra small and it's perfect. Now if it just offered in charcoal next year I will be the first in line. Well, when the sale starts anyway.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JaxonPeek from Too long for average woman I purchased this vest in grey a few years ago, and really like the fit of it. I recently ordered another one and was disappointed to find how much longer the new style is and how much bigger it's cut in the bust area. I'm 5' 7" tall and I have a long torso, but the regular size is still too long for me, so I will be returning the vest. I love the blue color; sorry it didn't work for me. Below is a photo of the two vests stacked on top of one another.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Cynbythesea from I absolutely LOVE it but hips just a tad snug I would size up if you have hips and a bit more on top. I find the hips snug and it pulls across my chest a bit but I still LOVE it and wear it constantly. I can fit my iPhone 8 Plus in its otter box defender case in the chest pocket with lots of room to spare (I don’t have to try and make it fit like most chest pockets) and it doesn’t look awkward with my phone in the pocket. I wear it as a vest or extra warmth under my coat when needed. It’s worth the money they just need to allow for hips and busts when designing women’s vests and more.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Traveling30something from Petite too long, 26" I have the fitness vest in Petite XS, it's 23" down the back, which is great and hard to find in a vest. This vest is 26" in the back in a size small which is very long on me and thus fits terribly over the hips. Maybe if you're a beanpole or like your vest size very roomy it will work for you. Otherwise, fit is true to size. Please make a true Petite length in the future, post lengths in the description, and standardize sizes across items! The vest is going back. Too bad, the dark Marine blue color is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Beachgirl from Packable, comfy, and warm I love this vest so much that I also bought one in black. I traveled throughout Europe this spring and it was not only wet but cooler than normal. This vest was great in layering under my raincoat and very packable! The only suggestion I would make to LLBean: please stop putting your logo on the front of your clothing. Your clothes are well made and good looking but the huge logo does not add but detracts from the look When in another country, my aim is to blend in, not to stand out!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Fiberart823 from one problem This is a great vest...lightweight, so packable, warm, warm, warm. I do like that it falls below the hip and is a bit longer but because it does not have a two way zipper you have to fold the vest up around your waist when you sit down or bend. I am not shortwaisted, the fit is perfect, but unlike a sweater there is no give when you sit. A two way zipper would solve the problem. Unfortunately, the vest is just not working. It's too bad because it's a great vest.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Outdoorsperson from Keeps me warm I am 5’6” and weigh 135 pounds and ended up exchanging the small for an extra small. I like the length as it comes to my hips and is roomy enough to wear a fleece underneath and is also okay with just a long sleeved shirt. It packs up into its own pocket so easy for travel. It is not as puffy as a down vest but it is warm. I live in Northern California’ and days that are in the low 50’s or high 40’s when my fleece is just not quite enough or I need protection from the wind the vest is perfect, without adding bulk so I can easily play ball with my dog. It has turned out to be far more versatile than I thought as I wear it both outdoors and in. Just wish it had a two way zipper, but I am happy with the purchase..

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kathleen from Love this vest! I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and I wear this vest every day to walk to work in the spring /summer / fall. Then, I take it hiking on the weekends and it holds up and is perfect. I have the black version which can fit my professional look need as well as I get to vary my shirts underneath for fun flare without wearing too many colors. I think it’s very accurate to say that this vest is worn with a mid weight layer beneath it. I don’t wear it in weather less than 55 degrees or so. I’m thinking about getting the full jacket version. I love this vest so much.
