    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Belly is Waaaay Too Big I guess I'm in the minority with this sweatshirt, because this jacket was huuugeeeee on me. I've ordered small from L.L Bean in the past and usually, my only problem is sleeve length. Ironically with this sweatshirt, the sleeves fit perfectly, but the belly has so much extra room that it looks like I'm carrying twins. I can almost wrap the material around myself twice before I zip it. Maybe this is more flattering on people with an Apple shape, but on my pear shaped body this sweatshirt looked quite large. I'm afraid if I go to an XS the sleeves will then be too small, but I'll try that and report back.

    Rated 2 out of 5 by from So sad it shrunk I purchased this on a vacation. I wore it as a jacket every day. I loved it it was warm for fall time and so soft and comfy. Great pockets and hood was nice when it got a little windy. Perfect. I was going to order it in two or three more colors....then I got home and washed it. Cancel my order! It shrunk about 7 inches in length and about 3 in width. I wish when companies are charging such high prices they would preshrink items. Actually everything should be preshrunk. The moral of the story is after washing you will never wear your very expensive hoodie again. It’s been a year. So sad.

I love the weight, which I would call medium, I disagree with it being a light weight flannel. I like a boxy fit, vs. fitted fit, so I love the fit. Colors are bright and vivid. I am 5'1" and weigh 100lbs. I ordered two different colors in a petite small and the fit is perfect, with a bit of room to spare IF they shrink. I never put flannel in the dryer, I hang it to dry. From photos, I thought the zipper was 3/4 in length, but it zips all the way up the front, which is better. I am very pleased with my order!

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it... I just received the Scotch Plaid Zip Hoodie. I am 5'4'' and 136 lbs. I ordered a small (usually wear a medium) after reading some of the reviews and I'm glad I went with the smaller size. It's perfect, and still has enough room to layer underneath. I haven't washed it yet, but I plan on doing it gently, and putting it in the dryer for a short time. I love the Grey Stewart color, it's a nice medium gray, with some subtle green, and the red is close to cranberry, which I like. I have a couple shirts of that cranberry color which will look really good under it.

I've always liked hooded zip sweatshirts, but couldn't find one that fit or that I liked this year, so opted for ordering this flannel zip hoodie instead. (I actually didn't think such an item existed.) Not as warm as a sweatshirt, but very comfy. I usually order large in LLBean and knew with a relaxed fit this would be great. It is pretty roomy (the way I like things) and I rolled the cuffs up once for a better fit since I have shorter arms than some people.. Have enjoyed wearing it around the house and it goes well with my navy blue pants. Would consider ordering another color, but like my Dress Gordon color for now.

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Really nice except.... I bought this lightweight jacket for a present from me-to me. It is a bit pricey but I deserve it-right? Well the material is thick and the colors are vibrant. There is a nice leather tab on the..... PLASTIC zipper!!! Oh boy. What a disappointment. Had I known the zipper was plastic, I would not have purchased this item and with a price tag of $70.00 that is a hard pass. So, buyer beware. LLBean had me up to the zipper. I hope they read this review and stop production on the plastic zipper line and remake it with a nice YKK zipper. A metal zipper is something loyal LLBean customers would expect. Fix this, and I may purchase another in a different color.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb Quality!! I almost returned it because of the loose fit (which is clearly stated in the description) and I was hoping it would be a bit more fitted. I had to keep it because of the superb quality! I got the medium, a small may have been more flattering but the shoulder seams fit well in the medium. It is thick, soft & warm. I got the Grey Stewart which is gorgeous- Grey and red with just a bit of black, blue and yellow. The seams are all reinforced, the zipper has a leather pull and the pockets are roomy. It is one of those items which you know you'll love for years to come. Excellent warmth and gorgeous fabric. I'm so pleased.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty, comfortable, and hope it shrinks a bit! I almost always wear a 2X, sometimes a 1X, but I thought I’d probably wear a t-shirt under this so I got a 2X. There will be plenty of room (!) even in the bust where tops are often too tight. The sleeves are just barely long enough but that’s a common problem for me. If they shrink up I’ll just unbutton them and fold the cuffs back. The pockets are large and extend from their slash openings all the way to the zipper. The zipper seems pretty heavy duty and has a nice leather pull tab. All in all I’m very pleased with this. I’ll hope that a warm dryer shrinks the 100% cotton a bit (except for sleeve length).
