    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight flannel shirt Blackwatch plaid is always a winner. This flannel shirt is lightweight and slightly fitted. Mine is size Medium. I am 5'2" and 125 pounds so it fits fine, buttoned or open.

    Rated 2 out of 5 by from Used to be a fall/winter staple I hate writing less than a 5-star review on a shirt I've loved for decades, but the Vintage Tartan pattern that I purchased late 2022 is not the same quality I have come to expect. Instead of a thick, soft flannel that holds up wash after wash, the newer fabric is thin and developed a notably rough appearance after its first wash. By its sixth wash, it became too pilled to wear in public. Thinking I might have received an anomaly, I purchased the Royal Stewart Tartan last September, but it looks like that shirt will follow that same nappy path. Next fall, these newer flannels will be relegated to yard work or worn as a pajama top. By contrast, all of the Scotch plaid flannel shirts that I purchased up to 2015 still look fantastic. Given the price has doubled over that time, I expected to receive the same high quality, not a flimsy fabric where the collar tips curl up if I don't iron. I've never had to iron flannel before, where the heat will make the flannel flat and shiny. Disappointed.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this shirt I looked at this shirt forever (mainly because I loved the color) before deciding to buy because I wasn't sure the size would be right and the shirt was a bit pricey. My size tends to run upper medium to lower large, depending on the fit. I finally decided to take a chance and it all worked out well. The shirt fits well (I ordered the med) and the quality is great, which helps justify the price.

THEY DO PILL A LITTLE BUT IT DOESN'T BOTHER ME. THIS HAPPENS WITH COTTON. SLEEVES, SHOULDER AREA, AND WAIST ARE ALL COMFORTABLE. THIS IS ACTUALLY HARD FOR ME BC I HAVE WIDE SHOULDERS. I'M 5FT. 4IN. AND BETWEEN 136-140LBS. AND I ORDERD A MED.
