The black inner lining contrasts with the light color of the shoe; future iterations could have a lighter lining! These are tight shoes that don’t appeal for warmer weather. Good for casual hiking, informal office, or around town.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good walking shoes Glad I made this purchase. Out of the box, the right shoe tighter than the left. The toe area is about an inch long. Having said that....I have worn them a couple miles a day and are easy walkers. Cushioning good. Warm in 32 degree weather in Cleveland, with alpaca wool socks. They are already loosening some at the ankle area, making it easier to slip on.

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay but cute I like the shoes. However, the inside sole doesnt seem to fit the shoe as it was gathered up at the heel. I thought that it would bother me, but fortunately it hasn't. It will take some time to break them in. After a couple hours of walking, they started to hurt.

Once getting the toe-box packing out, which had been pushed in so far and tight, the inside liner needed to be pulled out to get the packing out. The inside liner of both shoes was damaged by the packing in the toe-box area. That was the start. The shoe looked 'off' and was not possible to put on. Something is really wrong with these shoes. LL Bean, please do better.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Women's Low Slip-on Vista Hiker The comfort, fit, and performance of the Vista Hiker shoes is top notch! I purchased a pair similar to these 12 or 13 years ago. As a matter of fact, I still have them, though a little worse for the wear. Sadly, that design is no longer available. The one drawback about the Vista Hikers is that I have to use a shoehorn to put them on, even though ordering a half size up (which helps them be true to size). Other than that, I hope to enjoy these as many years as my first pair!
