Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Not made like they used to be I first bought these formerly wonderful slippers many years ago. They keep my feet warm; are very comfortable. The first pair lasted a long time, until an accident. I ordered another pair. They were also wonderful but the stitching came out in one after a year or 2. I was out from work a good deal of that time & wore them a lot around the house during the day as well as at night, so I wasn't upset. I purchased a new pair. They are completely uncomfortable & poorly made, the bottom constructed so that I was almost walking on the sides of my feet. If LLBean decides to manufacture them properly again, I'll buy them for the rest of my life.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Not what they used to be! I have loved these slippers and had seven pair over the years. The recent ones I purchased however were NOT the old standard The fleece was cheap and the lining of the foot did not go throughout the slippers. The right one is so uneven I now have a sore ankle ( I have always worn these in the house when I take off my shoes at the door. I have relatively narrow feet. I can't imagine anyone with a wider foot would be comfortable. After wearing them for two weeks the inner fleece is lumping up and feels like a lumpy sock in a shoe. I think these must be made in China. Please go back to your previous manufacturer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by FeetNeedWarmth from Wicked bad slippers I think it's a shame that the once wicked good slippers are now so awful. The leather is so soft that you cannot slip your feet into them, you have to pull them on. Also, the sole of the left slipper was not flat; there was a bump in it that was very uncomfortable. The two slippers didn't even look like a pair and one top opening was significantly smaller than the other. I owned this model LL Bean slipper 20 years ago and cried when a flood ruined them. I found other slippers, which I now thought I'd replace with the old LL Bean style. I was so disappointed by what I received. I exchanged them for a different product. "Wicked bad!"

Rated 2 out of 5 by sdnika from Not what they used to be... I've been purchasing a new pair of these slippers about every 5 years for nearly 20 years (wow, can't believe it has been this long!). There's only one reason for this -- they are the most comfortable slippers ever, without exception! I just received a new pair as a gift, and discovered that the price has nearly doubled, but the quality has not. They're still comfy, but not twice as comfy, and not as comfy as they used to be. It seems as if they are using a different type of shearling, and not as soft. For this reason, sadly, this might be the end of the reign of the Wicked Good Slipper in our household. And I'm very sad about this indeed!

Rated 1 out of 5 by MJNV from Very Disappointed in the New Design I've been wearing these slippers for years and thought it was time to get a new pair (my third). The old design used to cover the entire front of the foot up to the ankle. The newer design has an opening in the front. The materials, both inside and out, are a lower quality than the older slippers. Finally there is a tag sown into the inside bottom of the slipper that is very uncomfortable. I would rather wear my old, worn-out pair with socks than keep the new slippers. Very disappointing. I have loved these slippers for years so much so that I have purchased them for numerous family members and friends.

Rated 3 out of 5 by AnnMH from Toes too tight The quality is very good. The leather soles look like they will last longer than the plastic soles from another manufacturer. However, the fit leave something to be desired. A small slip of paper that came with the slippers stated that the toe area would be a bit tight at first, but that my toes would make enough room in the furry lining. But why wasn’t sufficient toe room designed into the slipper in the first place? As it is, each slipper is designed with long narrow pointed toes, while feet are not, making it difficult to distinguish the right foot from the left, and squeezing the toes in the process. Wear only improved the situation a little.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WISconsinMother from Great slipper.... Too EXPENSIVE this year. I bought these slippers when they were $49 after using a $10 coupon. That amount is worth paying for these warm and comfortable slippers. Our cold winter nights in Wisconsin are tolerable with these well made slippers. I ordered them a size larger than what I wear and after I have worn them for a year, they now feel a little too big. I have another pair that are my shoe size and feel a bit snug. I imagine after I wear the lining down on those, they will feel like a perfect fit. I always wear my slippers with socks that are not very thick. Now these slippers are listed at $79 !!! YIKES!! They are not worth that! L.L. Bean, please lower the price!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by ArMaMe from Love hate relationship I have a pair of these slippers which are about 3 years old. I have worn out the stitching holding it together and the lining on the inside. But they are so comfortable and warm. Sadly, I have to order three or four pairs before I find one that fits correctly. The problem with the new slippers is that it turns on its side once my foot is inserted. Rather than the sole of my foot resting on the sole of the shoe, the entire slipper turns side ways. I encountered this same problem when I first bought them but kept trying until I found a pair that worked. Sadly, I have returned this slipper. I sure wish LLB would fix this problem as I love the slippers when they work.
