Why We Love Them

- Premium full-grain leather sheds snow and rain.
- Supportive steel shank and rubber chain-tread bottom provide comfort and traction.
- Still crafted here in Maine from the highest quality materials.

Rated 4 out of 5 by manhattaniteD from Perfect dogwalking/ errand shoe I bought these last winter when I just couldn't take lacing up/taking off boots to walk the dog one minute longer. In NYC there's very little snow on the sidewalks but tons of salt all winter long that ruins regular shoes. The duck shoes are ideal for those conditions. As other reviewers have noted, these run big and in the past I have ordered and returned these because of that problem. Now that they are available in narrow, they actually stay on my feet. For reference, I normally wear an 8.5. or 8 medium, and I wear a 7AA (narrow) in the duck shoe. Too tight for a thick sock, but a regular wool sock works fine. Love having a slip on/off outdoor shoe for winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TeriT from Amazing comfort I have plantar fasciitis. Without the proper shoes, your heels feel as though you're walking barefoot on broken glass. I was worried about ordering these without a try on first. No more worries! I followed the fit instructions, and they're not only a perfect fit, they are a shoe I can actually walk in. Be aware that the fit instructions are correct about ordering smaller and narrower size. I wear an 8.5-9 with a medium weight sock. I sized all the way down to a 7 narrow! As soon as I see the 8" zip or slip-on boot again, (lace ups just aren't for me) I will be jumping in there with another order. I am very pleased to be able to walk painfree in these shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LibertyRoad from Rubber Moc Since reading the reviews recommending ordering down a size or half size, what I received is what I expected, slightly more room in the rubber moc than needed, BUT STILL GREAT! If I want them to fit more snug if a little cold outside, I can put heavy socks on and they'll fit great! If it is warm outside & don't want socks on, they are loose but DO stay on my feet if I need to do muddy or messy yardwork, while keeping my feet clean, dry and cool! They are exactly what I needed and fit well enough for the types of yardwork I got them for! Don't care about stylish yardwork shoes, functional is what I needed, wanted and that is what I received. PERFECT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Seminole88 from Don't ignore sizing information - These run big I have already been using the higher LLBean lace-up rubber boots in an 8-wide for several years. I have a wide foot and a high instep - finding a boot that I can put my foot into is a problem, but that one works. I wanted something I could use in summer in the garden, so I ordered the same size in this moc. There is a significant difference in the way it feels when being worn. With thick cotton socks it will work for me if I tie the laces very tight. I always use a sock or liner anyway - but this runs really big and wide. It is very long - absolutely order one size down. I really wonder why LLBean doesn't adjust the sizing since they actually make the shoe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Roboette from Great Shoe I have been wanting this shoe for some time now but just never pulled the trigger. Not sure why I waited this long. The shoes are perfect for walking in the wet, windy, rainy fall weather in western Pennsylvania. They are warm and appear to be basically indestructible. I have worn them to the store, to walk the dogs, and to football games. And I wear them to work to walk from parking lot to office to save on my heels. With a comfy pair of socks, they fit the bill. Please take heed in the size. I wear an 8 1/2 and my first order was an 8. They were huge. I was skeptical but ordered the 7 and they fit perfect. Can't wait to wear them for years and years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HT916 from Perfect Dog Walking! I recently got a new puppy and she loves morning walks through the dewey grass. I went out one time in regular sneakers and instantly came inside and ordered these. Like most reviews, I'll reiterate, pay attention to the sizing information! I wear between an 8 and an 8.5 and got a size 8. They are a little big currently in the summer and not wearing socks, but I feel like a 7 wouldn't have given me enough room once I will start to need to wear socks. The information card that comes with the mocs indicate needing a thumb length from your big toe to the end of the shoe for proper ventilation and sock space. I have just that and cannot recommend these enough!

Rated 5 out of 5 by celticmairi from Love them! As we have had two snowfalls since I received these shoes, I am so happy to have them (along with a pair of the 6" boots for heavier snowfalls). They are true to size as long as you take note of the advice about getting a size smaller. I take from size 7.5-8 normally, so getting the size 7 in these shoes is perfect as I will be wearing them with thicker socks (which of course you will in bad weather). I also love the look of them. Very tough construction, and I feel that I will have them for many years to come, so that makes the cost so reasonable (not much really when you consider how long they will last). I recommend them and also the boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by skLAVB from Love these as an alternative to my Bean boots I have a pair of Bean boots, and I swear by them for snow and ice, awful weather, cold, and mucky-ness. I bought the mocs because I kept trashing my regular shoes in my yard. The mocs are fantastic for mud, water, and everything else I've gotten into. I have worn them to Lowe's and the grocery store, and they're easy to walk in (once you tighten the laces). Since I don't plan to wear these for serious winter wear, I bought them in a size 9, which is a full size smaller than I normally wear. They are still big on me, but in the way that Bean boots are supposed to be. I love them and have to try very hard not to wear them to work!
