Rated 4 out of 5 by cc1980 from Backordered more than not. Been buying these flannel sleep pants for years, they're great though this year (ordered late summer 2016) the flannel wasn't as nice as previous years, there was some slight pilling after a few washings, in previous years the Bean flannel sleep pants did not pill at all even after 50+ washings just got softer, I am hoping the slip in this past year's quality of flannel was just a one time thing. Used to be decent flannel was easy to find everywhere, Bean's seem to be the only retailer left to sell quality flannel, please continue to do so. Looking forward to when these aren't on "backorder" again. :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by MarkdaleFarmer from They used to be great...but not now I have been buying these for 5 years. They have always been comfortable and lasted 2-3 years. The last batch I bought (3-4) have all ripped in the inseam within 1-2 months. Having looked carefully at the stitching and the material, it is clear that these are being made with cheaper quality materials. This is bothersome as I wonder if it is a new trend. I have bought from LL Bean for 30 years, and the one thing I always, always trusted was quality. Sure, sizes may jump around, colours may not look like I thought...but quality was never in doubt. Too bad.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MemoryMakerMom from Need 34 waist option I ordered the size large for my athletic teenager who is 6'5 and 180 pounds without looking to see that a size large tall is a 36-38 waist size. Needless to say it came in way too large. I immediately went on line to see if I could order these in a size medium tall but it is not offered. We loved these sleep pants and are so sad that they are not available in a medium tall size. PLEASE make them available. We would be a happy customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LoveTheClassicsLady from LOVE this style with pockets AND drawstring! Ladies, these "classic" Scotch Plaids will work for you as well! I wanted the Grey Steward (like hubby's) for myself, and actually preferred this color over what was offered in misses styles. I love the elastic waist with drawstring custom fit and side pockets as well. Since I am only 5' 2", 110 lbs. the size small ran a bit long. I considered cutting and hemming them, but opted instead to run 1/2" elastic in existing leg hem casing, giving them a REALLY cute gathered, loose, and more feminine, appearance. I am LOVING them, and they are SO warm, comfy, and cozy... now that we are FINALLY having cooler weather. Hubby and both adult sons continue to love theirs as well! I do wish LL Bean still offered them in the Holiday (Red, Green, & Khaki) Plaid, however.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TallGuyinVA9 from Soft and Comfy Great PJ's, soft, warm and comfortable. I have worn and washed them several times with no visible shrinkage. Tall guy here, used to having the Jethro Bodine look in shrinking pants, but not here. They have stayed a perfect fit throughout the first 6-8 washings. They just get softer with each wash/wear. Love the classic plaid colors. Give the ladies in your neighborhood a treat and wear them out to grab your morning paper from the driveway or taking out the garbage! Peace :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by webqualityshopper from Stupid The pants were of good quality material and fit as expected from LLBean. However, unbelievably there was no fly opening as you would expect for a man's pant. I am not going to drop my pants every time I go to the bathroom. Nothing is mentioned in the description about this fact. Obviously, I immediately sent back the two pants ordered. Whether they are going to charge me for shipping back the pants is up to them, but the $6.99 cost is worth the price for not having worthless pants. Just a silly design. I have ordered from Bean for many years, but this may well change my decision in the future.

Rated 2 out of 5 by ShanghaiRed from Waist Sizes Are Giant I purchased several of these flannel sleep pants for the men in our family for the holidays. All but one of the pairs I bought had to be returned because the sizing was SO off. The sleep pants are HUGE in the waist. My husband has a 36" waist and the L literally fell off of him. However, the M fit him, although they were slightly loose. Bear in mind that the online size guide states that a M is for a waist size 32 - 34. The boys were very disappointed because once we discovered that the pants were too big, they could not be exchanged because Bean had sold out of the items. I was surprised at how thin the fabric was. I would have expected a luxurious soft flannel for the price, yet the material is thin and scratchy. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Rated 1 out of 5 by DecadesLLshopper from Sizing is now off.... For years I have had various chamois and flannel sleep pants, worn mostly as casual pants around the house, always in regular XL -- but the recent ones I've tried in the Black Watch are nearly 2 inches bigger (after washing and drying 3 times). 2 pair were close enough to keep, but 6 pair were just too big and returned. Tried the large but they were too snug even before washing. So there is NO size that fits me decent!! Very disappointed in the big gap in sizing from large to XL, and the inconsistency of the XL waists I received. If you get a size that fits you nice, you'll love the flannel material; I have several shirts and 2 bathrobes in different styles -- love the Scotch Plaid in general.
