Rated 5 out of 5 by Jahmaker from Excellent Fit - Good Fabric I buy these shirts because the Trim Fit and the sizes available is my perfect fit. I have a broad shoulder and long arms and it is a nightmare getting good fitting shirts. LLBean shirts has all the boxes checked for me so I will pay the price. Wash and Wear does not do it for me. My shirts must be washed and ironed no matter what. However, the wrinkle resistant characteristic makes ironing easier. The length of the shirt is on target. The shirt is not going to do any pants jumping. Finally, the buttons - they stand up without cracking and splitting. so, for the picky tailored look at a reasonable price this is a bench marker.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MikeFromGermany from Nice shirt, but not as trim as I expected. I received this shirt today and I'm very pleased. I like the cloth, which surely will become softer and softer with every washing. Btw. an OCDB is the best choice, if you like a great everyday shirt. Even if I ordered US sizes for the first time, L.L.Bean's measure info did a great job, so that the shirt fits perfectly at neck and sleeves. But I hope it won't shrink... But I must say, that I've expected the shirt to be really trim just like it says. It's not bulky, but it could have a tighter fit at the upper arms and armholes. But it's not trim compared to German sizes. The shirt is made in Malaysia, for those who want to know.

Rated 5 out of 5 by VeryHappyCustomerPaul from Outstanding Travel Shirt I own 'wrinkle-resistant' shirts from Pink and Brooks Brothers. When I travel I MUST pull out an iron with those shirts, but that is not necessary with wrinkle-resistant Oxford shirts from LLBean. Simply hang the shirt in a steamy shower and let set overnight and in the morning one will have a perfect shirt. I just returned from a 19 day business trip to Europe. I brought with me two LLBean Oxford shirts, and I wore each shirt for 3 days (at different clients, so I could get away with doing that!). I've owned these LLBean shirts for nearly two years and I've worn them twice a month over that time. Not only do they perform well, they are extremely durable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by scottyscooterpie from Poor quality material In general, I want to like these shirts. They fit me well, they "feel" like they should be durable, and come out of my dryer perfect. However, every one of these shirts has an "elbow blow out" where my elbow rips through the sleeve in record time. The last 2 I purchased simultaneously both blew out the same week after fewer than 10 wears/washes. This is ridiculous. I work in an office, I'm not hard on my shirts and it's not like I have pointy elbows or something. Even $20 department store shirts don't blow out like this after a year or more! I thought the first couple were flukes but this is a definite quality issue.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Not a trim fit but durable and good value I was disappointed with the so-called "trim" fit and kept me from ordering again from LL Bean. Trying again now in the hope that they have their sizing sorted! I am a 41inch chest, 173 pounds, 6'1" tall and with 36-37 inch arms. In other words, lanky and slender - and that is what brought me to LLBean in the first place. But this shirt was too bulky in the arms and around the waist. Otherwise a very durable shirt, with thick cotton and easy-care out of the dryer. A very quick iron makes this shirt very presentable. It travels well and is good for work or casual. Come on LLBean - tighten up on the sizing please and make this a shirt into a GREAT shirt!

Rated 4 out of 5 by ARez from Great quality Great quality as expected from Beans. I have several of these shirts in the traditional fit but had always wished they were slightly more fitted so I thought I'd give the "slightly fitted version" a try. The shirt is definitely slimmer which is great, but it doesn't stay tucked in as well as the traditional fit. My only suggestion would be to make the shirt slightly longer (or allow one to order a longer length in the 14.5 neck size) to compensate for the fact that because there is less material due to the trimmer fit, this shirt needs to be "re-tucked" throughout the day.

Rated 3 out of 5 by portagemainehunter from Little less for more.... I own about 10 variations of these shirts- I loved the Classic Oxford Trim fit- was my all time perfect shirt. Since these new(ish) Slightly Fitted Oxfords have been out I have purchased two. Both seem made of a rougher, thinner material. The slightly fitted is a little bulkier. Also both shirts I have purchased have had spots with excess stitching dangling on the outside. And they raised the price about 5$. As always with LL Bean... customer service is spectacular. But I would like the old shirt & the old price back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LMcLaughlin from Declining Quality I purchased the oxford button down light blue dress shirt. I have purchased several of these over the years and I noticed the material is now slightly thinner, and the collar is now slightly smaller in height, disappointing. I had just purchased a Roundtree & Yorke Gold Label similar shirt, and the quality difference is remarkable. The Roundtree and Yorke is more substantial oxford material--like LL Beans used to be... and seems much more built to last. This is my last LL Bean dress shirt purchase.
