Rated 5 out of 5 by amylouie from Wool Tek Coat Very happy I purchased this coat. It's lightweight and not wind proof, but I have a heavier coat to wear when it's windy. I live in the Midwest so I need several different coats. I am 5'5", 185 with broad shoulders and the large fits perfectly. I originally ordered the red one in XL, but had to send it back because it was too large. They didn't have a large in the red so I chose the black. Even so, I love the coat. The arm length is good (sometimes the arms are too short) and the overall length is good too, just enough to cover my backside. The band around the waist lends a slimming effect without being tight. Well worth the money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JustUs from Love the fit, not the wear I was very excited to wear this coat. It is for the cooler fall/winter days. The inside fleece makes it very comfortable as a car coat - keeps you warm without the bulk. The fit was perfect and I still am able to wear a turtle neck and light sweater under it. A sweatshirt would be too tight. The only not so good thing - after wearing it for almost two months, the outer layer is starting to "pill". I had expected a bit better quality. Because of the pilling, I might only get one season out of it. (Hence - the reason I won't recommend it to a friend.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by GreenBeanMom from Fabulous fabric I purchased this coat in red medium (ordered up to make room for heavier sweaters, athletic 5foot7inches, 140lbs). It is a new favorite for my walk/train commute in NJ (1 mile walk each way). I love the hood. Warm but not wind proof. Good for 30F's-50F's, definitely not 20F. Long sleeves is a plus; go to mid-hand and overlap nicely with gloves. No cold wrists, even while holding up an umbrella. Two-way zipper works well. The fabric is the absolute best part, especially if you are looking for a "quiet" coat. I highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Angela1 from Wonderful coat This coat is great. It's warm (but not too warm) and there's room for layering, and it's a good mid-thigh length. It's roomy enough to be comfortable and still look nice. The hood is not removable, but that's OK, it's not in the way. The color (I got the reddish one) is pretty and unusual, and looks nice with the gray lining. The lining is like fleece, very cozy and comfortable. The big pockets have zippers, handy for keys and such, and the main zipper is a solid heavy-duty one. All in all, I love this coat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by tip95 from practical and warm This coat is so practical for chilly days running errands. Also great for walks when the temp is in the 40s. The placement of pockets is very thoughtful and practical. It does pill a little at friction points but with a little care the coat can be kept in good condition. I hoped to buy one for my daughter but only gray is now available. I ordered the red and it is my favorite. The length of the coat is perfect to protect from the wind. (also able to wear heavy sweater with it)

Rated 4 out of 5 by Silsbymountain from RUNS BIG This coat was much bigger than the other outerwear and sweaters I've purchased from LL Bean. I returned it for the next size smaller and it was still comfortably loose, especially in the hips. Most long sweaters like this are form-fitting through the waist and hips, but this was surprisingly the opposite. I have full hips, but I still found it to have a baggy fit around mine. Comfortable fit, but not as flattering as I'd hoped.

Rated 2 out of 5 by PetitePear from Right weight, wrong cut This jacket offered the perfect level of warmth, but it is not a flattering cut for someone who is 5'-6", has a small waist and chest, and a slightly curvy hip/thigh. There isn't much definition or cut to the jacket, so it looks frumpy on my body. I also expected the deep port to be closer to a burgundy/cranberry color. It was darker color than I wanted. It's a great option for someone who is tall, with narrow hips and fuller chest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by outofnicknamechoices from Just right Hope this helps someone. After much deliberating, I finally decided to try this coat instead of getting a down sweater jacket or other coat. I live in western NC and while it can get pretty cold here, most days don't need my really heavy coat - but, I am finding my arms are a bit chilly in just my down vest. I considered all the other choices and since I didn't need my coat to fold up into a tiny pouch and since I love a coat that covers my behind without making it look too big this coat perfectly fits the bill. It looks great with my jeans. Looks great with a skirt and nice pants. Also, the slimming feature does help me not look even bigger than I am - a bit chunky. The arms aren't so tight that I can't move around and easily go over normal clothes - not sure about a bulky sweater. I really wanted that port color - looks beautiful - but, decided on the charcoal to make sure it would go with everything - it even looks good with my brown boots. It is very warm without causing a hot flash or making me feel like I have to take it off when I am just going to be in and out quickly somewhere. Love the zipper coming from the bottom making it super comfortable to get in and out of the car and keep it zipped the rest of the way until the car warms up. Hood looks good, too. Glad I got it, for sure.
