Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice! Going by the size chart, these run large. For reference: I'm 5'6" tall, 124 pounds, my hips measure 38 inches, and my waist is 27 inches. According to the size chart, I'd wear a small, so I ordered the small. It was WAY too big! I exchanged for the extra small and they are perfect with plenty of room to move around -- not even remotely tight. The pants (in the right size) are really flattering and seem durable, despite being really lightweight and breathable. I love the drawstring cuffs and stretchy material. The grey was exactly like the image on the website. They're great -- I may buy more colors, which is not something I normally do...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wish they still made the lined version These pants are okay. I bought three colors. I intended to use them for travel, because they wash and dry easily, and have lots of pockets. Although I like these pants, for me, they aren't warm enough when the weather is cooler, and they aren't cool enough when the weather is hot. I also bought the lined version of these pants and am regretting that I didn't buy more because they are perfect for spring and fall, and I find I use them frequently. Unfortunately, it appears LL Bean no longer makes the lined version. I hope they bring them back for the fall season, because I want to order two or three more of item 502841.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love These Pants, but... I've had these pants since last August and wear them all the time. They're perfect for lounging, walking the dog, or running errands. I love the drawstring hem and the pockets are useful (although the buttons on the cargo pockets are hard to open; I would prefer zippers). I always pack a pair of these when I travel to change into at the end of the day. They're great for sneaking down for coffee in the morning at the hotel and I've even slept in them to keep warm in the field. The only issue I have with these is that they're really starting to pill, which sacrifices their clean look. Bean, if your textile supplier can work on that, these would be perfect!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect, but.... These pants feel like jammie bottoms, but are somehow flattering. I am 5'6" tall and weigh 125. I was afraid the regulars would be too short to wear with the ankles cinched, so ordered a tall. Not necessary. The regular extra small fits perfectly. The problem is with the elastic in the cuffs. The elastic in the waist band is smooth and of high quality. The elastic in the cuffs is different - not smooth and catches EVERY TIME on the velcro closer on my sandals. I've not had the pants long and the elastic in the cuffs is already a mess. Ll Bean chose to cut corners on the cuff elastic with unhappy results for an otherwise great design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PJ's in the Woods I do really like these pants. The length is perfect, the waist is perfect (and high enough) the weight of the material is very light, cool and dries quickly when you get caught in the rain. AND, my favorite is.... it has 6 pockets, the two at the hips are deep with zippers. the other 4 have buttons, which are attached very securely, which is great, because I am bad at sewing them back on. The only complaint is they do get those tiny little pulls (balls),that sweaters get, on the lap area. I did order a second pair, because of their extreme comfort! Cool enough for this hot & humid summer. I'm 5'4" 138 lbs, S Reg fits great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I got these just before a 3 day trip hiking, eagle watching and the lodge at Starved Rock Park in IL. These are now my fav travel/outdoor pants. They look great on, both on the trail, at the lodge restaurant or any other plans inside or out. I'm 5'5" 145 lbs. the medium have plenty of room, the waist is maaaaybe a bit loose, but I don't think the small would be nearly as comfy. You can move on the trail and they feel good in the car for hours. They aren't just plain, and have good style. Very slimming as well. Another thing I liked , the length worked too. I may just get another color - love these pants.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good for outdoor work I do a fair amount of garden/yard work. I bought these pants because my jeans are uncomfortable to work in when it is hot. When I put these on they felt light and comfortable. They were a bit large on me but that is because I am not "true to size" and I ordered the larger of the two sizes I am between. The pants don't seem to "breathe". After I had worked for a while and had started sweating, the pants clung to me in a very uncomfortable way. The waist was uncomfortable and when I took them off, it was somewhat still and misshapen. The pants may be fine for just walking, maybe even in hot weather. I probably bought them for an inappropriate use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Seams Blow Out The pants fit well and are comfortable. The lightweight fabric is perfect for summer. I have three pairs and on each pair the seams that run above the knee blows out. I've had to re-sew them three times. I feel these pants are excessively overpriced. I would not mind paying $25 for these pants but the pants have a poor design and the fabric is not rip-stop, the fabric snags easily and of course, the seams constantly break. I think they need to go back to the drawing board and reconsider where to place the seams on the legs. Think about it, every time you bend your knee that seam is being put under stress and the thin fabric cannot handle it. Also, lower the price!
