Rated 5 out of 5 by ArtGirl999 from Well Made! Great Jeans I bought two pairs of these jeans in the color currant and Loved them immediately. Quickly washed in cold water and did a dry on delicate heat to stop any shrinkage... and this morning the fit was perfect. I teach art in a public school. We can wear jeans and these are fine for the art room. The fit is good and there is room to breath. I find the fabric soft on my skin, kind to the touch and with the right amount of stretch with out bagging. Pockets? They are perfect for me and I carry my classroom keys in my left pocket. I like the pocket size not too big or too small. This color is like a rich brown. I expect to wear these jeans for years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ebblb10 from Comfortable I first purchased these jeans in mariner blue using bean bucks. When tried on, I liked the fit and ordered the gray. However, after washing the blue, the seams are quite wonky. I did not notice this on first try on. The inside right leg seam turns to the middle of the leg, and the left outside leg seam turns toward the middle also. No amount of twisting and turning makes it right. The gray pair does not have this problem and have been washed and dried several times. I did not use bean bucks for this purchase. I recommend these with the caveat to be very aware of the leg seams and make sure they are correct.

Rated 5 out of 5 by OrcasLover from Perfect for cooler weather Great pants for the fall, not skinny tight nor baggy loose which is important to me - I could wear tights all the time but as an older woman, that's not my comfort zone or style. The pants material is a heavy cotton and feels smooth to my legs. I bought the rugby long sleeve indigo blue-gray striped shirt to go with the pants and they look perfect together. My husband loved the outfit. As the temperature cools in the NW, this will be my "go to" outfit to do daily errands this fall or to hang out on the weekend in our medium sized town. It's a quality look for a relaxed life style. Thanks, LLBean!

Rated 2 out of 5 by J8888 from Warning! Different Colors Fit Differntly! Washed Indigo and Boulder 16 Reg True Shape Jeans fit wonderfully. I got these in the store. I could not believe my luck. I promptly ordered additional colors on line. Unfortunately, L.L. Bean Quality Control failed miserably. The Carbon Gray, Black, and Light Indigo were all too small! Customer Service was wonderful and advised me to try the next size up, 18 reg. Unfortunately, these also were randomly sized, with the gray way too big, the black still too small, and the light indigo slightly too big. The black is also made in some sort of scratchy material, not like the ones I got in the store. I am returning the lot (except for the ones that fit like a dream) and will not order pants online for L.L. Bean again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Peggy from Sizing is always off I have been buying and returning these pants for over almost two years. They are not sold in stores around me so I cannot try on several pair at once. If I happen to receive a pair that almost fit, I keep them. The black material is awful, heavy and scratchy. Recently ordered four pair of 16 petite. Toasted Coconut and Boulder both fit but were a tad long for petite; I kept and hemmed both. The Carbon Gray and Black were both too small. I returned Gray and Black and reordered hoping for different fit. I received reorder and Gray waistband is too tight and the Black is like wearing compression pants. LL Bean what are you doing to me. No consistency at all. Very disappointed. I would buy them but you cannot supply them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by KarenFromJackson from pretty good I am 5'6" tall, 124 lbs., waist 28-1/2", hips 37". I bought the size 8MT in the white color. They fit well in the waist and hips. They seem to be cut with a more prominent hip shelf (curves out right below the waist), which isn't how I'm shaped, so on me they are slightly full in the high hip area. But overall they look pretty good. The regular 30" length would have been perfect except that I feared they would shrink, so I ordered the medium tall length. That was a good call because the first time I washed them the legs shrank 1/2" in length. I will have to hem them but at least they won't be too short. I like the stretchy mid-weight fabric. They will be great for the warmer weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Stubtail from The perfect jean This is the jean I've been looking for the last several years. First, they high rise. I'm not overweight, but I dislike those jeans that cut across the middle of your stomach. Second, the fabric is the perfect weight. I have three pairs--these in khaki, one black, and one stonewashed. They are very comfortable and they are flattering. I may have to order back-ups in case L.L. Bean changes the "recipe."

Rated 3 out of 5 by Spark43502 from Needs real pockets I really liked the fit of these pants, but, I returned them because the front pockets were only deep enough for my hand to get into the middle knuckle. I don't understand why clothing designers do not believe women want pockets like the mens. I do not carry a purse, so I rely on pockets to carry things like keys, cell phone etc. Had these pants had REAL pockets, I would have kept them.
