Rated 4 out of 5 by DirtDevil from Sizing Issues These are great jeans IF you happen to get a pair that fits you. There are sizing issues with these jeans. I am 5'6" 119 lbs and wear a size 4. I have six pairs of these True Shape jeans in different colors - Rinsed, Stonewashed, Medium Indigo, Grey, Black and White. Four of these pairs are a size 4 and two pairs are size 6. The first Stonewashed pair I ordered in a size 4 fit like a size 2. And I measured the waist size one 4 against the other 4 and had a two inch discrepancy! Well like I said they are great jeans if the fit is right since they do wash well and are comfortable but the sizing issue is something Bean needs to address.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cora55 from Fantastic jeans update I wrote a review about these jeans a few weeks ago and would like to update it. I still love the jeans but have exchanged my 3 pairs for medium tall length from my original regular length. I found the regular length was just a little shorter than I prefer my pants and jeans to be. I still find them extremely comfortable and flattering. Ordering one size up has solved the problem other reviewers have complained about that the jeans fit like leggings and are too tight. I am, also, monitoring the fading of the black jeans. Some has occurred. If it gets too bad, I will send them back to LLBean for an replacement. But overall, these are my go-to pants!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MWLWRITE from Best Jeans I've Owned in a Long Time These are the most comfortable -- and still good-looking -- jeans I've owned in a very long time. They do keep their shape and still feel like denim, unlike other "comfortable" jeans I've tried that feel more like nylon. The natural waist keeps my muffin top under wraps, too. :-) The only caveat is that, because I have a relatively short torso, the waist rides up a bit when I sit. But that's small potatoes, and I don't tuck in tops anyway. And there's no shrinkage, so if you're in between petite and regular, you could probably get away with petite depending on your length preference. I got the regular and they're fine, but I could go an inch shorter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SoCalPreppyGirl from One of two go to jeans from LLB As a 100% cotton jeans woman, I hesitated on getting these jeans because they have some stretch, in addition to being higher cut than I'm accustomed to. As I ease through my early 40s, though, these jeans helped me discover that stretch is my new best friend! These jeans are flattering, give in all the right places, and the wash looks good considering they are not 100% cotton. The higher waist is comfortable and I'm finding that I prefer it. So far no bagging/sagging - time will tell with that. I love there are a variety of good washes to choose from AND in petite sizing. These are now another pair of go to jeans from LLB!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sarabz from Love these jeans I dislike shopping so I tend to buy multiples and wear until they fall apart. My previous favorite jeans were changed by the manufacturer so I found another style that sort of worked. I finally had enough and thought I'd try LL Bean jeans because I figured that the quality would be good and LL Bean trends toward functional versus fashion over function. I ordered three different styles; two didn't work for me but these I love so much I ordered another 2 pairs. I am curvy, and not small (sz 14) with a long torso so any pants that are even remotely low-waist are impossible to keep on even with a belt. I am thrilled to find jeans that make me feel good, look good and are going to last a while.

Rated 2 out of 5 by QueenBee2000 from Sizing totally off I have well-loved pairs in the dark wash. Aside from the fact that I was blessed to go down a size, they were totally consistent in cut, fabric, the whole bit. Most recent order was a pair of the black. Sizing was horribly off. Could barely get the waist buttoned, even with a good "suck it in." The thighs were ridiculously snug in proportion to the lower legs, which were gappy. I know there is a little "wiggle room" in the manufacturing process, but this is beyond acceptable. They went back to my local store today. Now I'm concerned that quality is slipping, and that I can't order my favorite jeans with confidence. :(

Rated 4 out of 5 by NewMexicoy from Great for the wide waisted, small hipped I am so happy to find these jeans. I have slim hips, a small, flat bottom and my rib cage and hips are about one inch apart, so my waist is wide - about a 6 inch difference in measurement. Because of this, pants are hard to find. The lower rise ones tend to slip and slide down because of the flat bottom - not fun, and annoying. Until I found these pants, I was a skirt person. These jeans are a high rise (so great!), I buy them for my hip size, and the waist stretches to accommodate my waist and belly. OK, they do tend to slide down a little - but nothing like the mid-and lower rise pants I have tried. Love these. Please keep making them! O, and they are sooooo comfortable!

Rated 3 out of 5 by campcav from Nice except for the rise I ordered in charcoal. I liked both fabric and color. I wear a 4 and found the fit good everywhere except in the rise (crotch to top of waist band), which is excessive in this style. The waist band was well above my belly button and super uncomfortable, sufficiently so to warrant returning. I should have realized that "classic fit" means that what you get. A mid-rise would have been a better choice for me. I also ordered a skinny jean which fit better but whose leg opening was excessively small. The photo shows the leg opening comparing the two. It would be nice if LLBean would publish these measurements, ie. rise and leg openings.
