Rated 5 out of 5 by from My FAV flannel in the entire store I was looking at getting a flannel shirt, and have to say I was a bit overwhelmed in the LLBean store. There were heavy ones, hooded ones, lined ones, lumberjack ones, etc. I tried a few on and asked the hubby if he liked them. He said some looked like man shirts (too boxy or manly tartan). So...a bit discouraged. I went to the Signature section (which I had no business being in, I'm 5'10, 170) and the cranberry caught my eye. I tried on a 14, but it gapped at the bust so I tried the 16 and it was a match! My FAV thing is the beautiful feminine pattern, the softness, and the fitted form. A waist! No balloon arms! I am so happy to have found it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So disappointed I ordered this shirt in two plaids, which turned out to be as beautiful as pictured. Fabric is soft and lightweight, which was what I was looking for. HOWEVER the fit is awful. Whoever designed this forgot to allow for a woman's chest! I am very under-endowed (A cup bra) and have never had a shirt or blouse gap at the chest. But both of these gap - a lot. I ordered a size 6, and the shirts fit everywhere else, so ordering a larger size wouldn't work. I wanted to wear these buttoned up, but will keep one to wear open over something else. Returning the other one. PLEASE redesign this otherwise wonderful shirt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightwt shirt...... This is a great light wt flannel to wear on those days where it's not too cold for a heavier shirt and not to warm for a cotton shirt. I wore it the other day, end of March, raking leaves in it. Perfect. Or a shirt to wear under a sweater to layer. I like the lighter blue. I wish they'd make these shirts in something other then plaids! Am sick of seeing plaid all of the time. Even a solid would be nice!!! Or do a shirt like this in more of a spring print. With us New Englanders, and having LONG winters, I would like to see some winter shirts w/other prints in them. Wearing plaid all winter, from late Sept.- beginning of March, wears on you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from White Buttons on Darker Versions of Shirt This particular Signature line shirt was cheapened by the manufacturer deciding to cut corners by using all white buttons on all colors of the shirt. White buttons look great against the lighter fabric shirts. When they are sewn onto the darker colored versions of this shirt, it really makes the shirts look very bargain basement. Upon the arrival of the two dark colored shirts I had ordered, I replaced all the white buttons with ones that matched their darker fabrics. It made an instant difference; the shirts looked so much more elegant--in keeping with the higher priced Signature line.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Skimpy Cut I love the fabric colors, fabric weight and more fitted midsection of this shirt. I don't love the overall skimpy cut. I lift weights and I'm by no means bulky, but I don't have pencil arms, either, and this shirt is tight through my upper arms and shoulders. I even ordered a size larger than what I would typically buy. But the most offensive thing is that the sleeves are longer than the bottom hemline. So, I can't really tuck this shirt in nor can I leave it out because it is awkwardly short in either context. This is a skimpy product and it seems like the cut was done more to save money in mass production than for any rational fashion reason. Disappointing for the price of a flannel shirt.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Strong chemical smell.. yuk! This shirt would be perfect in every way if it wasn't for the very strong, nauseating chemical and perfume smell. I am on my third time putting it through the wash with first detergent, then baking soda, then baking soda with vinegar, and now with salt. I got all of these ideas online. Apparently new clothes can smell like perfume because the manufacturers are trying to cover up the formaldehyde smell, which they use to protect the clothes on the overseas trip. So far, the shirt still stinks. I really love the fabric, the print, the fit, the quality, the plaids match at the seams. Unfortunately, its unwearable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great weight for E. Texas weather Love, love, love this shirt! Fits great....size 8 not baggy and not too tight on my 5'3' 118 lb apple shaped figure. Oh so soft! Hope it holds up to the many wearings I know it will get. I was worried about the pockets, but fabric is thin enough that they don't add bulk to my bust. Only change I need is shorter sleeves by 2 inches. Why no petites available in this jewel? I ordered a 2nd one today because I love the Cranberry I am wearing, but it was tough finding a 2nd color I could live with. Would love to see this in a black watch and some other fun bright feminine colors like the cranberry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Size up a LOT, otherwise great! I bought this shirt in the Cranberry color is a size 8. I'm a very standard Medium in almost all Bean shirts, and sometimes even a small, depending on the style and cut. I had to exchange the shirt in-store for a 14! I could barely even get the 8 on. I felt like I was going crazy because I brought a 10 to the fitting room, and it still felt incredibly tight. Then I brought in a 12, and finally the 14 was the perfect fit for being slightly tailored, but still a casual feel. I really do like the lightweight fabric, and it's very comfortable. Great shirt overall (the Cranberry color is stunning in person, great under neutral sweaters or just with jeans). Just wish the sizing was a bit more accurate. For reference, I'm 5'5, broad shoulders, 36C.
